Im going to buy a pi intake soon here but I'm a little apprehensive. Can the people that have done the intake swap vouch for how long they have had the intake on running fine? O and let me get this straight all I need is PI Intake, Gaskets, tapped sensor, and a water pump nipple?

I had mine on for over a year, or about 20 to 25k miles.

Your parts list is correct, you also need either heater hose, or a newer PI water tube, and RTV.

Well I have 1000 miles on mine and its still running strong! You also need the newer PI coolant tube that runs in the valley of the motor.

Part Numbers

PI intake coolant tube:XR3Z-18B402-AA
Water Pump nipple:F75Z-8555-AA
Pi intake gaskets: YL3Z-9439-BA

I have had mine on there for 2.5 years. 2 years of that has been supercharged and no probs at all. I used everything you have listed + rtv & the PI intake coolant tube. I didn't need the water pump nipple though.

Well then welcome to the site...
i have seen a few guys over the years read your posts on MD or TCCOA and then pretend they were your best friend on other forums so i was just curious if that was the case here.
Hopefully you will stick around and help some of these young guys out. You have helped me indirectly with your info over the years O0

I have a question about the coolant tube that runs underneath the intake. I bought the nipple along with the nipple for the end of the tube but the nipple does not fit over the short tube coming out of the water pump housing whats the problem here?

Could be the wrong nipple, try the stock one, see if they are the same. Did they come from the same place?
