Lathered up the pony, then rinsed and dried

Had a miss on Cylinder 1 according to the scan tool. Bought all new plugs and Accel coils for the swap out. everything went good until the last plug. Drivers side, rear of motor. Wouldn't budge, soaked in PB Blaster, still no give. Noticed it had some cloth like material wrapped around the plug threads. Said to myself, WTF, shop changed the plugs last time. Figured they messed it up and didn't tell me. So left it alone, put the new coil on and will have my new shop check it when they do my clutch. Oh, and it runs much better, no miss,

I have accel coils on my 00 Gt. I’d never buy them myself, they came with the car. They’re not good compared to the coils. They should be fine for now though.

Not mine but I am building a 4.0 sohc for someone
what kind of build? stock like refresh build? we just bought a ranger with that same motor in it. I like how they run for a v6.

picked up some mach 1 heads for $150 in Kansas on my way back from Oklahoma this past weekend. I'm expecting my teksid short block back sometime soon.

Installed a smoked 3rd LED brake light and smoked rear reflectors. I was going to start working on my triple gauge setup, but don't have the correct water temp sensor adapter. Can anyone confirm the size?? I think it is 3/8 npt, but not sure. I have a 1/4 to 1/8 npt adapter for the additional water temp sensor (which is 1/8 npt), but the 1/4 npt adapter is too small.

Welded on some upr sub frame connectors. Was rewarded with the car shredding the belt. Coolant never got out past the L was running it and shutting it off coasting for the mile or so home. Coolant made it out of the drain over flow but I don't think I reached boiling or anything like that

Swapped in the new glove box so my car looks less mismatched.

Also getting really annoyed with this car. It runs fine in open loop but as soon as it hits closed loop it starts running like garbage. I think I narrowed it down to the o2 sensors since they give feedback on closed loop. I guess the next step is to check the wiring.

I've had a busy weekend! Oil change, new prothane sway bar and end link bushings, smoked LED 3rd brake light, smoked side reflectors, and triple gauge pod install.

Initiated the Rear Seat Delete (RSD) but put it on pause now that those rear panels are out. It occurred to me…Gee, what an opportune time to strip the tint and get all 5 retinted?! I got the front 4 off cleanly but the rear started shredding on me so I’m gonna leave that one to the pros!

And, FWIW, I got the Shrader RSD kit from LMR. Weighed everything out, did the math, and the weight reduction is 15lbs.

and viola, Finito! And I forgot to calculate in the 2 rear seat buckles and the metal brace between trunk and seat backs, another 11lbs. Brings the total weight reduction to 26lbs. Not bad!

(sorry for the crappy picture; it’s that pesky CA sun!)
