Same idea as the other thread, but this time it's the things that Ford got right in terms of design/quality, what you like.

For me I'd have to say the interior is a winner, always loved the dual cockpit style dash and the seats are the most comfortable of any car I've owned, including BMWs, even if the leather is cheap crap.

In terms of design, I love love love how the '96'-98 tail lights look lit up in the dark, and I also love the all business exhaust pipes you can see from the side of the car (like the Fox LX cars). Also love the '98 17" rims, and the fender badges on all '94'-98 GTs.

What do you like about our cars?

Not a big fan of the sn95 body. Doesn't make sense huh? I prefer the looks of the new edges+05 mustangs over the sn95. I hate that at every corner/stop light you see a new edge or 05+ mustang. I like that our cars are rare and if you see one... chances are its falling apart and looks terrible and most likely a old beat up sn95 v6.

When you have a clean sn95 though it sticks out because its so OLD, but looks newer than its age. The sn95 GT/v6 body parts really need help.. they look there age and plain looking. The cobra front bumper kind of gives the car a newer style look. The gt/v6 hood is way to BLEH for me.. its just.. not aggressive.

So all in all. I like the rarity of having a OLD car that looks better than most of its kind out there. And when you do see a nice SN95 in public you know its someone who loves mustangs.... not just your everyday new edge v6..

Same goes for Fox Bodies, but a lot have beat up FOX's that are sleepers so you dont know most of the time.

It's interesting you say that...personally I think the New Edge is the most boring looking Mustang ever built...it's just so blah and pedestrian looking, and I think the final nail in the coffin for me is the front bumper, how it curves UP towards the center which is basically the anti-aggressive. It just doesn't say "Mustang" to me like it should, it says boring 2 door sedan, usually in a blah color too. The corral around the pony sucks too. I realize most people think the NE cars look better, but they never ever grew on me. '99/'01 Cobras are an improvement but look crappy next to a Terminator, and I can't stand the stripes on the Mach 1, especially the cheesy hood decal, but I've never been a stripe/decal guy anyway. I thought about buying a NE when I got mine because it would've been newer, presumably more reliable, etc., but I was trying to convince myself I liked it in my head (though the interior is slightly better), but I realized the only way I'd be happy with it is if I did a few cosmetic mods which wasn't the goal being a DD...so in the end I would've spent more for a car I liked less, so I got the '98 I always wanted instead. *shrug*

I agree slightly with Twista about having a model of car that usually looks like a pile of dog crap.. but having it nice. But, I do love the unique body style, sound, love the interior, and the potential of having a V8.

i like that its american engineered. i wont divulge into canada and mexico manufacturing/assembly. i like the cheaper interchangibility of suspension parts from the former years. i looooove that in that aspect it gives room for growth. i dont have to have imported parts from other over seas countries "import taxing". i like that anyone with a welder and fab skills to do work. im looking at a wider perspective instead of nit picking individual parts.

the car came out when I was 18, what was there I didn't love about it? I loved all the curves personally. The fox was a great stang but it was due for a change and the 94 hit it on the head.

it's rarity. the fact that I don't just have company as an option for parts, the aftermarket is endless. The sound... good god, every time I start my car it's like it's ear fucking me, love the sound of the modular.

Biggest one is how simplistic the modular motor really is. having worked on both a pushrod and modular I find that it's a lot easier and more natural for me to work on a modular.

the fact that the chassis can be used in whatever fashion the owner wishes.

At first I definitely did NOT want an SN95...but circumstances gave me my son's old car & now I wouldn't trade! I love the way it is sleek yet very aggressive with the right stance & tires/rims etc. The view from the rear is my favorite with the 315's & Magnapack exhaust...and the interior is the best to me also..feels like a real cockpit and there are 10 years of interchangeable parts to draw from!

I like how most parts are pretty mechanical still & thus you are able to easily repair or adjust most things...all drive by wire & computerized things can be nice but I like to be in control & not the computer so much! Cheaper to fix too.

The curvaceous body lines are a real plus now and as many have said we are different than the other styles...so much so that I constantly get mistaken for a new car! I contribute that to always having it immaculately cleaned & waxed & the general public's lack of knowledge! LOL...17+ years & 155K miles...how can you think it is new? I guess people just look at how shiny it is & clean inside to judge by. I also prefer my 94/95 tail lights to the 96+ ones, more exclusive & different, plus they flow with the body lines to me. I like how we are expected to be slow & can be a real sleeper able to blow off much newer cars! (I'm not there yet though...chuckle...someday)

Mostly I love how my car has become ...Me!

I love how they look. A timeless platform in my eyes! A updated set of headlights can bring it to the 21st century. One of the best things about this car is how light it is compared to mustangs after 99! It doesn't take much power to get this bodystyle to haul the mail compared to all the heavier muscle cars coming out these days. Remember this platform is 2nd lightest compared to fox, and its on the fox chasis. I like how the seats are comfortable when new, and can hug you when you take turns if your bolsters aren't worn. I also like how they looked raked with a set of springs. It seems like this is only body style mustang that most companies have the suspension raked.

I love the sound of 5.0 pushrod, I think its the best sounding car hands down around, love the sound of a cammed 5.0 v8 :) and I love the look and aftermarket for mustangs :) and the nice torque, I just wish my car came with more power stock or could compete with todays cars without having to go crazy just make my modded = to a new stock car :(

theres nothing on my car that i really love more than anything else.
from the factory, nothing stood out at as 'amazing' to me than other parts.

i guess the mach 460 is a pretty nice sound system for the 90's though.

The fact that most people over-look these cars as crap because of low-hp ratings and ET figures published by Motor Trend. We ALL know thats the FINAL word in performance anyway :sarcasm: and you CANT make a Mustang fast...

I like the lines of the body. For my particular '98: I like the power band, suspension/brake set up and looks of it from Roush. I also like that not many of the 'newer' generation of Mustang owners even knew Roush did Mustangs back then.

exterior styling, namely the black aftermarket accents. I may change the wheels in a few years. Interior egronomics, I fit perfectly inside, and everything is right where i need it. The car also doesn't feel to big like an s197, I also like how it looks more sports car-ish (more so in the 94-98) when modified properly, The s197 just look to retro. course, it was deigned to be.

I bought my car last March and I guess the reason I bought this particular mustang other then the miles was because were I live u can't throw a rock without hitting a new edge or a s197 and when u do see a sn95 It's junk.

adjustable bolster support was removed in 99. 99-04 GT seats are just as plain as V6 seats to me. our 94-98 GT/Cobra seats (Ford refered to them as "Sport Bucket Seats") i think are very nice actually, they'd be amazing with just some more support

I love the way the body looks and the car sounds good. I don't care that the engine isn't as powerful. I actually dislike the 05-09, something about the shape of the body just doesn't do it for me.
