I picked this motor up it came from a 99 mustang gt 80k miles but has 11-17-98 stamped on it(hope its not a 98 engine) the heads say PI on the back of them as you can see in the pics.. So what motor is this? and whats it worth? I hope its not a shitty 98 motor..

It's a 99, very rare to see any car built in November that is for that same model year

Notice that 2010 cars are already on lots and it's only August

I believe HP ratings were 260 for all PI years ('99-'04), though there may have been some subtle differences I'm not aware of.

What's it worth guys 80k miles? Also the 01 up motor is the better motor compared to the 99-00 right?

I personally think the 99/00 are better built and last longer, ive seen a lot of 99 guys push 500, and a few over 500 rwhp with stock internals and 99 motors for whatever reason...Ford doesnt say so but I believe the parts were better at the Windsor factory.

That motor is probably only worth 500 bucks

dont know if its just dirty or not but the intake manifold doesnt have an aluminum crossover. I might be wrong but dont think the aluminum crossover started till '01 so that might reduce the amount of people who actually want it or price of the engine.

it's a 99-00 windsor with the plastic crossover, passenger side valve cover fill.
$400 picked up, at best.

I think I might sell it or keep it around for a while my gt only has 94k miles or I would swap it in..I've also read I could use the intake manifold on my 97 and gain about 15 hp.. my car just runs so good that id hate to mess with it!

If your car runs good then sell it. You could probably part it out for more then 4-6 hundred though......

There is your First Buyer ^^^^^^ :)
