No and I'm not sure what it's called. My buddy is painting it at the local Ford dealership so it's probably Oxford White like my truck.
Right on. I thought perhaps mine was Oxford after the PO had it painted, but it doesn't match the touch up I have for the truck. I'm going back Crystal when I get it painted next month.

Progress pictures will trickle in slowly due to the impending doom but I’ll post them when they come to me.

Took a bunch of measurements and settled on 4.5” from either edge to the center of the stud and also the center top/bottom of the bracket. The stud is 7.5” from the leading edge of the hood.

Well, I guess I really did kill my dremel. It died after barely scratching the surface.

Wasted a damn hour driving around because Lowe’s AND Home Depot both decided to close early. Decided to try again. Stupid shit works and I was able to make some more progress. Nah. It died again. This time it’s permanent. I’ll replace it tomorrow morning.

Decided to finish the driver’s side first. Had I went with my initial thoughts and aligned the outer edge of the latch with the hood, I wouldn’t have had to trim more of the reverse side of the hood than anticipated.

Yeah, that’s life.

The passenger side had an unexpected surprise. Seems this hood had traditional hood pins at some point. They were removed, one of the screws was simple cut and puttied over. I had to drill it out and it left me with a new hole.

That’s life too, lol!

The “finished product”.

After all the work was finished, I took it out for a spin. This things rocks. This thing *really* needs to be tuned and I have some IAC/TPS tuning to do. She likes to die when coasting after a rip.

mine did that as well once it got running. I just bumped the IAC hold up a little at the temp it was dying(hot) and it never did it again. I need to adjust my IAC for starting just a tad now but I suspect I/we can only hope to never be thinking it needs something adjusted in the tune.
