William made the trek to the house today and we re-timed the engine. Before things got started, at my wife’s insistence, we ran out for some moving blankets to protect the new paint.

A trained eye can tell the difference between an aftermarket camshaft and the oem part.

Is aftermarket cams offered? Id think a cam hitting at idle would be well worth the effort spent, but thats me

I do have aftermarket intake cams that offer a few degrees more duration but keep a stock idle.

She is a couple of mouse clicks away from a choppy idle should the desire arise.

Went on a data logging cruise after an appointment earlier and she feels great. I’m still having issues with my ECU sending data real time to the dash so I have no clue when to shift. I figure just about the time it sound broken is a good time to grab a gear.

Wifey wanted some Popeyes but their computer system was down. Luckily, I had enough cash to get her what she wanted. Happy wife, happy life.

Spaced the Momo steering wheel out 15mm and it’s more user friendly now.

Swapped bumpers so that I can trim the Cobra bumper off the car. I’ll be changing the header panel out tomorrow and that droopy passenger side will go away.

Half hour into *new header panel install and chill* my phone rings. Now I have to go into work.

All of that new fender hardware looks really good.

Installed an Intelletronix Digital fuel level gauge in a 3D printed vent pod. I hate the vent pod but it’s temporary anyway.

What do you not like about the vent pod? I was thinking about getting a set for my 2002. Obviously it restricts airflow substantially, but is there other reasons you dislike it? In the summer months with cold air blowing on the back of the gauges, does it cause condensation to build up and/or fog on the the lens? I'm thinking about going with these printed vent pods.

Simple. I wanted to put them in the center stack. You want mine? It’s printed and it’s somewhat rough looking but it fits snug.

As for the condensation, I have no clue. I have yet to get the AC working and it has been out since before I bought it in 2006, ha.

Chased a squeak coming from the rear of the car for a few days and finally stopped it with some brake cleaning and lubrication.

Along the way I found the LH rear was contacting the inner fender. Beat the piss out of it until I was satisfied and will report back.

Added some exhaust hanger clamps to support the mufflers. While I was at it, I chopped my tail pipes down and bolted on some 3.5” tips. For now.

Put the interior back in, grabbed the V1 and my parking tag from the truck. I’m driving this BAD GIRL to work for the rest of the week since we’re being blessed with great weather. Going to put between 80-100 miles a day on it and see what other bugs we can shake up.
