I know it isn't fun. I think I could only use one hand to do it. It was several years ago when I did mine I don't remember. Let me see if I can find my Hayens book.

Are you having trouble getting access to the mounting screws? I haven't done this in a Mustang but I did it in my '93 F-150. If you cannot get to a screw but there is a round dimple in the inner door sheetmetal directly over it the dimple is to be drilled out with a drill big enough to get the sized socket you need through the panel and onto the screw head. Neat convenience.

Like I said, I don't know if the Mustang has the same thing but I hope that helps.

i actually was able to finish this yesterday, and it definitely was not fun. i had a hard time getting the motor to disconnect from the regulator, and on of the mounting screws was snaped in half (no idea why) so i needed to drill the shit out of the old motor in order to get it out. Replaced the motor with one i bought at autozone, and now it works again. BUT, when i put everything back together, the left speakers in my car do not work now. and i can not figure out why.

While reaching in the door you may have accidently disconnected the wires. Also check to see if the wires got pinched between the door panel and the interior panel, if that is possible.

yeah i checked yesterday to see if the wires were disconnected but it seems like everything is the way it should be. the stereo system is still under warranty (i think) so i'm gonna bring it back to best buy to have them look at it.

Told you it wasn't fun. Sorry I couldn,t find my book in time. A wire could possibly be pinched somewhere, other than that I'd take it back and see if it is working right.
