If that's what you were going off of, why didn't you say it? Go scale it. I somehow don't think a body kit and 20' wheels make up for 600 lbs

If your talking about the weight of a GT500 vs the regular GT's, you have to add in consideration that the 5.4 block is cast iron, while the 4.6 3v block is aluminum.

Also consider the weight of the supercharger, intercooler system, the fact that its DOHC while the 3v is just a SOHC. 6spd in the GT500 weighs more than the 5spd in the GT (I would assume). GT500's have massive brake systems (14" disc/four piston calipers up front, 13" rotors, dual piston calipers on the rear, etc etc etc. It all adds up very quickly.

there ya go. I talked to a road racer buddy of mine earlier, helped him work on his full MM suspension mysticobra. He was telling me his buds gt500 hit over 4100, but most of the gt's were rolling at about 3500-3700. Jesse brought up all the points in terms of WHY gt500s weight an ass of alot more. I saw on stangnet where they weighed cars, theres a big thread overthere just for it, and thats where i pulled most of my info from. Yea, of course it's no sn95 weight, but i'll be damned, the power it has more then makes up for it, because even weighted down, a PI stock 5 speed gt vs stock 5 speed 3v will not stand a chance unless it has some help. I'm not downing on 2v's, i just think its pretty impressive when my car, "fatass jared" that it is, can still smack down on another 5 speed mustang gt with alot less weight. And like in the original post, with such minor mods money wise, it can be in the low 12's. Thats pretty damn kickass for the weight.

No I'm talking about an 05+ Saleen, auto, with 20" wheels, that I SAW on the scales, at Summit Raceway (Norwalk) and it range it to the tune of 4100+ I don't know what all the car had, but it weighed that much.

Do you know which model Saleen it was? Like..exactly what model. H302? H302 Supercharged? S281/S281 supercharged/S281 Red Flag etc?

all evidence and info elsewhere has proven that it wont. I don't give a shit, won't take much for my lard ass car to out perform on the road course. I'll be going to kershaw and then to talladega this year, we shall see how it does..

Be prepared for a Big Surprise..... Most people on here know that a Sn95 will out handle a HUGE boat very easily

20 Inch rims are really ment for handling huh?

All Saleens come with 20s on them now. Also, according to their website, none of them weigh more than 36XXlbs.

Riiight. I pull up over 50+ people saying there 05+GT's weighed in between 3400-3600 basically, and Saleens website says their shit weighs just a little more. You know, just for you Handz, tomorrow I'm going to try and get my friend Ryan to let me take his 07 automatic V6 to the scales with pics, and possibly even video. Wanna guess what it'll weigh before hand?

IDK how much a V6 is gonna weight but i could take a guess.

i HAVE seen with my own 2 eyes a GT C/S and GT500 on a scale and the GT C/S was 3800 and the GT500 was 4100+

BTW, the GT C/S i saw had 20 inch wheels also

I dunno how much the v6 engine would weigh either. Its an iron block though, I know that much

This is My Guess....if you friend can weight is car and get a pic of the numbers on the scale that would be great.

My guess would be (depending on options) would be just under 3700

Last time I checked, most new mustangs are coming with 20's. Whatever jackass, when you get some balls and put your money where your mouth is, we'll hit the track. You talk alot of shit about other peoples cars, but when it comes to your car, i've never seen anyone get more butt hurt if anyone has anything to say bad about it. You immediately strike back at there cars, and try to outwitt someone with your wikipedia knowledge.
