Re: 1997 GT build (time for the motor)

Just picked up the PI 4.6 with forged 10.5/1 CR pistons, forged crank (only 8K on motor)
also got freshly rebuilt PI heads, PI intake
Im just using ford racing head bolts for now (next year I hope to go back in and put forged rods in)
I will post up pics of the new motor and heads tonight when I get home

Nice looking car. I like how you shortened the lettering on the bumper to just say Stang..... Sets it apart. Are those some kind of stock mustang wheels? If so, what year?

They are s197 wheels (05+)

If your going to be tearing the motor apart again like you said you may want to think about putting studs in it so your not constantly buying head and main bolts again and again (I believe they are all TTY)

So I guess I have a forged cobra crank that has the 8 bolt holes, but I have an AOD with a 6 bolt fly wheel can anyone tell me if there is a AOD fly wheel with the 8 bolt set up?

Not trying to be a smart ass, but just letting you know.. You have that head installed on the wrong side of the engine.

well, the heads will go on either side, they are the same head, left or right.

however, the cam is in backwards.

Interested in what your few extras are because I did the swap and will be dynoing soon... just want a comparison. Thanks brotha, and looks great man. Nice work.
