Got the wing in and then got a wild hair up my ass and spray painted it with color match duplicolor. I spent 8 or so hours on the job and it came out good enough to mount until I get the car painted. lol.

Definitely would just pay to have it done next time.

Body work is likely next (after the tune).. Need to get a new quarter panel, new hood, cobra front bumper, get the wing done right, have the decklid 3rd brakelight shaved. Figure at that point just spray the whole car in silver again.

So the yellow car had an engine fire trying to bring it back to Norman. I contained it (ALWAYS CARRY A FIRE EXTINGUISHER.) and there was no damage save for the wiring that was the culprit. Shop is unsure as to what the cause was at the moment, suspecting a loose fuse holder or not thick enough gauge wire, or a clogged fuel filter!

The silver car hit the dyno today. Got drivability for 93 octane for emergencies.

They filled it up with E85 and hit the gas. At 3,000 RPM a hose on the coolant cross over shot off, apparently dousing everyone and everything with hot coolant. Showing up tomorrow to see what I can do about the problem. Thank god no one was hurt. I heard there was coolant all over the door as well, I just hope it also missed the grey seats. Headed to Dallas! My professor will have to chill out for a bit. Cars > title insurance law. :p

I was at HPP yesterday trying to figure out my fueling for the On3 kit thats going on and scheduling dyno time. What do you mean by huge diffrence with the Pro m 92? Do you mean better driveablilty?

So I repainted the coolant cross-over in flat black, and flared all of the fittings. Today, Brandon at HPP Racing (awesome guy) went over the car and fixed some odds and ends that my newbie ass missed.

Sooo.. Hopefully numbers here by Saturday. Then I can have the car back. 4.10's with the blower are going to be pretty fucking useless. The Cobra is back though, and is going to be absorbing the majority of my time and money.

After weeks and weeks of this fun...

The number as of yet is 352 rwhp through the automatic on 6 psi. It's got another tune scheduled on the 30th.

Also installed some new valve covers.

oh man, i feel your fun o meter. my car was stuck in tuner limbo for months, and months.
Looking good, and it sounds like they're taking it slow? that's a good thing.
Should be really fun to drive when done.

hmm, im curious to see what it does on more boost...would kinda think it would have made more power with the ported heads and e85 even on 6 psi to be honest

That blower prolly just needs to be spun harder

Do you have plans on turning it up or what?

It took a lot more time than it should to be honest!

As far as the numbers go -- Who knows? Doesn't bother me, I just don't want this one to blow up!

As far as factors as to the lowness:

1. It was very hot -- Eatons suck in the heat
2. 6 PSI.
3. Automatic car.. assuming a 18% power loss that puts it at 440 hp at the flywheel. My stock cobra with an airfilter dynod 392. With a 15% power loss that is right at 460. That's with 9 psi.

Of course I plan on doing something nasty later. First I have to buy a shortblock though. The ported heads did help, I made less boost than expected.

Yea, I hear ya man...im no stranger, ive got an auto car and my last dyno session was 103 degrees out with the turbo setup haha.

I didnt realize that was stock shortblock either.

Im sure it will wake up a good bit on 8-9 psi.

Driving to Dallas tomorrow to drop the car off at the shop. Tune is on Thursday. Hope it goes well!

Also ordered some Adam's metal polish, two diecast mustangs, and some 1/18 scale CCW looking wheels.

Finally -- TUNED for real.

Made 375 rwhp on 6 psi. Runs well. It is at my place in Dallas.. picking it up this weekend and bringing it to my place in Norman for clean up and track duty!
