Well, so begins the death march towards final exams. This is my second to last semester in law school.. yuck. Doubt I'll be doing anything cool for a bit.

Did install some Cobra headlights.. they look pretty good.

What headlights did you have on the previous pictures? They looked like cobras?

Alright, been awhile. Have a patent bar on March 1st, the Texas Bar in July, and final exams coming up in May. Plus there is the job search.

The car pretty much sat.. I drove it a couple times, but I started it up last week and heard the sounds of a small child wailing on a gutter pipe with a 2x4. So.. I took the blower belt off and it shut up. As expected, the useed blower seems to need a rebuild.

So, that's where I'm at. I sent it off the Stegeimeier for a full port and polish, it should look nice.

Then I finished (half-ass) the body man's job on my hood. He left the underside nasty splotchy black and raw fiberglass. I went to autozone and shot it with some color matching spray cans. Not the best job, but it's getting better. When I reinstall the blower I'll sand off some imperfections and touch it up. It will shine more when I buff the clear coat.

Then, in anticipation of the polished blower, I cleaned and polished everything I could find.

Finally, I went over the car with the orbital buffer. Wash --> Clay --> SSR1 on a polishing pad --> EX-P on a finishing pad.

The Cobra has been left at my parents house in anticipation of the move. Not to mention, it needs a transmission and likely a motor re-freshing. No point in beating it up out here for the last few months I live in Oklahoma. The GT has become a far nicer car TBH.

Here it is at the re-tune a couple months ago.

Thanks brotha!

So, in the down-time, decided to finish my rear wheel wells. Needless to say, I scrubbed burnt rubber out of there for AWHILE. I wonder why my rear brakes need replacing also?? .. Hmm..

I highly recommend duplicolor bed armor for this job. This stuff is amazing.

Oh and I got new sidemarkers.

I'm currently painting my calipers.. Maybe by tomorrow it will look a little better under there.

Tommy, thanks!

bhorne, I used less than half a can lol. Needless to say, I am impressed. I didn't even scuff anything. I scrubbed the wells out with simple green, then brake cleaner. I let them dry, and just shot one coat of this stuff. I broke a lot of the rules on the back of the can. It was raining and around 35 degrees. It still worked out beautifully.

Haha that's cool man. It's kinda nice to put it down for awhile. I wont be able to fix her up like I want to without some serious dough. Probably like 10K, so it's great to not have to look at the ungrateful ***** for a few months LOL.
