I started ripping into my GT this weekend. The car has GT40 heads from the previous owner so I decided I’d go with an explorer intakeand an e303. I also have gears (3.73) that I’ll be installing at work once Iget this all squared away.

The first problem I ran into was stuck water pump bolts, I snapped the headsoff of two bolts that go through the WP and into the block\timing cover. I gotthose out, and then ran into a power steering pump dilemma. SO instead ofbuying a puller, or waiting to get the one from my box at work I dremel’d the pulleyand gave myself enough room to unbolt the pump, and viola, problem solved.

With the Radiator and a few misc pieces out of the way

All too familiar of a project! Are you using a t/b elbow adapter? Or going with a Fox t/b?

Also homie, I'm not sure those are GT40 heads. You may have been duped, GT40 or GT40p heads heave vertical bars cast in the heads about where they meet the intake manifold. They are pretty easy to spot and I'm not seeing them. Could be the pic or angle, but they don't apear to be there. :(

I'm using a TB adaptor, and the stock TB for now. Although the casting marks don't look to be there, be it rust scale, picture angle or what, they're around. Just damn near impossible to see lol Thanks for the heads up though Rich =), you made me go run out and look lol. I've had the covers off, and if i did get duped, i at least got a nice set of roller rockers lol. Just not good flowing heads

Cool, if you have the valve covers off you will see cast GT or GTP. IIRC at the front or rear of the head.

For me, changing over to a fox set up means changing the TB AND sensors AND throttle cables and changing to a 90* elbow for the air inlet too.
It's just easier to just get the elbow and bolt all the origional stuff back up.
