I have a 1998 v6 mustang. My brother bought it back in 2000 and passed it down to me when i turned 16. Since i have had it I have had major plans for it. Mostly all engine work. I want to keep it looking fairly stock from the outside with just a hood and maybe a saleen wing. Engine wise i planned on dropping a 351w into it with plans down the line of hellion hellraiser twin turbos or a supercharger. I want it to keep all the regular badged and just make it a sleeper.
This past weekend i hit a deer with my car. If we claimed on insurance the car would have been a lose, although the damage is minimal. I just need a new drive fender, driver headlight, and hood. The bumper can be saved and all mounts are fine. A local garage that i have got work done at before told me he can fix it for less than $2000, including paint. The part i need advice on is hood size. I am looking at the 1995 Cobra R hood, but am spit between two sizes. One is a 2" over factory and the other is 3" over factory. I would like to know from people's experiences as well as personal experience what size would look better, and if 3" is too big. I know i said the plan was to keep it looking stock but personally, when i saw the 3" i liked it but am worried it may be too tall.
