But am i looking at low 14s? mid? possible high 13s? just curious

Have you ran the track before ? Do you know how to power shift ? The combo is capable of 13's yes on slicks

Yea these cars are slow as shit unless you can really drive and have some good tires on the back.

I'm willing to bet you're not gonna break into the 13s with that combo.

If you do however, you're a damn good driver. (Assuming your car isn't an auto)

my dad is a radiation physicist, I have played with his gieger-counter but it doesn't mean I have exp. There is more to the track then what you see. With the lack of seat exp at the track I don't see low 14's for you for a little while yet. But its all fun.

low 15's, high 14's.

I'm gonna say no faster than a 14.7.

Not trying to start a shit flinging fest, but 10.9 in a 700 hp car isn't very good.

Yea 14.7 was my first outing in my stock car with out gears on street tires ... 10.9 what was the et I bet it was something silly. That's not very impressive time for power wise .

lol yea I know it can do better, only issue is sure its got 700 at the crank but he has a huge conservative tune on it, ony got like 510 at the rear, which I know is odd but with whatever tune he decided to go with from john lund, that's how the dyno ran, im hoping if I put slicks on the Shelby itll be closer to a low 10 but time will tell

WTF am I reading here.....

lol yea I know it can do better, only issue is sure its got 700 at the crank but he has a huge conservative tune on it, ony got like 510 at the rear, which I know is odd but with whatever tune he decided to go with from john lund, that's how the dyno ran, im hoping if I put slicks on the Shelby itll be closer to a low 10 but time will tell

First of all, a conservative tune doesnt only reduce power to the wheels...it reduces engine power which reduces power to the wheels. The way you are talking makes it sounds like some how the conservative tune is why the car dropped 200 hp through the drivetrain

If it made 510 to the tires through a manual its nowhere near 700 hp at the crank....thats more like 575 at the crank. Also, theres no way in hell you ran 10.9 with 510 to the tire on a heavy ass shelby, those cars weigh a ton and even the new ones that lay 600 rwhp to the tire dont run that, with good drivers, on radials

Not trying to start a shit flinging fest, but 10.9 in a 700 hp car isn't very good.

Depends on the details...is the car full weight, 3900 lbs? Is it on street tires? For a 3900 lb car on street tires 700 hp at the crank, 10.9 would be an absolutely amazing time, unheard of really

14.9 with street tire. I got 14.7 94 mph with 285 nitto nt555r, 3.73, cold air instake, springs, shocks, subframe connectors, short through shifter with king cobra clutch and under drive pullys.

plugs and wires won't make any diffrent besides making sure you have good spark.

if you run street tires do not do any burn out because you will make the tires more slick.

hey its what the dyno read man, im just letting you know, its been 2 years since ive seen it but im pretty sure im remembering correctly, im not trying to show off or anything.... and definitely don't take it as im some chump trying to make up stories, maybe my father misinformed me of his numbers but the slip is legit, on slicks

Maybe you are mistaken the 510 for 610 at the tires...then 700 crank would sound about right and a 10.9 on a full slick with a serious like 1.6 60 foot could be feasible.

Im not saying you are wrong about the dyno reading 510, im saying if the dyno read 510 then the car doesnt make 700 hp at the crank.

Things just arent adding up is all....

Are you on drugs?

First 700 hp running 10.9, flat out blanket statement, that's not fast with no details on the situation.

Again, another blanket statement, 1.6 isnt good 60 now.

This isnt a 2500 lb race car, its a 4k lb street car, not a purpose build drag car.

For a 4k lb street car just playing around at the track 1.6 is respectable.

Great link man, You're comparing its 60 foots to cars like this 4.86 1.14 60ft 146 mph

Thats a ****ing mid 7 second 1/4 mile car.....

Do I really need to explain why that's not a good comparison or can you figure that one out all on your own?
