Killing it Tuesdays. First while I was clean. I replaced the bulbs and sockets in the gauge cluster and hvac with some new sockets and LEDs.. ughhh so much better!!!

I realized I didn't git the slip yolk to the tail shaft bushing in my exhaustion. So back apart the trans came. Then reamed it with this giant adjustable reamer.20230410_115836.jpg

Now i can say I reamed out a tranny with my giant tool, probably shouldnt brag about that. LoL Now it is clearance for .002". Slips in like a dream. Knocked in a NEW advanced seal. Reassembled the tranny and while the permatex was drying. I had an hour.. I decided to pull the rear axle since I need to redo that.. since the center section is fucked. So out it came!!!received_757404482441271.jpeg

And just in time for the permatex to tack. So I torqued it to spec and back in the car it went.

Just needs some new mercon tranny fluid.

Yeah. Trying to make it so the car is enjoyable while i build a garage, closing on a house this friday. The v10 will sadly be a while since machine shops well... certain ones take forever.

They are far and few between, I wonder if they are more or less rare than red interior cars. Both are fun

I swear damn near all machine shops take forever . If my 351w ends up needing work I’ll be taking it 3 hrs south to get the work done .

My cylinder heads had their first birthday there.. I'll put it that way. I'm considering mailing him a Return label and porting them myself at this point, and taking it to a shop locally for the valve job..

Or just saying fuck it and run them 100% stock with the wild cams. And do the heads later

Did you see the 6.8 V10 project on YouTube? The guy who made his own 4V heads?
Yeah I've been following that one too. It's pretty cool! Hope it works out well for them, what do you think they'll put it in

I’d pick Holley 10 out of 10 times. You could certainly run the V10 with the HP ECU (cheaper) and a cable driven throttle body. After all, you’ll have the same amount of engine sensors but only two extra coils/injectors compared to a V8.

That white interior is sick!

EDIT: any tips for the HVAC light upgrade? I pulled mine out when I was doing the cluster but didn't get very far, although I can't remember why at this point. Seems like I saw something that I was afraid I'd screw up.

Straight forward unbolt the h vac piece once you take the radio bezel off and swap in some 194 led bulbs
