Im very excited to see the dyno graph on the V10. at the edge of my seat for this thread.
My guess is it will make (to some people a disappointing) 380whp and a few million ft lbs... balance a ball on the tq curve, lol. I'm basing this theory off of the gross quantity of 4.6 and 5.4 2v dynographs I have studied. Seems like a lot of mild builds of ported PI heads, cams and factory compression or even a small bump. Seems like the 4.6 cars like to put out 300-330 hp/~300tq with a stick depending on the dyno/intake. (Tfs heads and high compression are a completely different story.. those things rip.)

The 5.4s about the same, sometimes a a bit more hp and the tq seems to be a good 30-50rwtq more. Grey area though.. dont see too many 5.4s with ported PI heads and cams NA. Garrits car made I think somewhere north of 380 with his setup and equal tq. Ported PI cammed with a Victor Jr intake on adapters and max effort compression. RESPECT!

ANYWay! The v10 is 48% larger than the 4.6 and 25% larger than a 5.4.

Put in some more time consuming work last night. .027"-.028" pinion shim. .. 16" lbs preload on pinion bearing, crush sleeve eliminator in nut set at 150 ft lbs. New set of tims. New 3.73 gears and ford racing gt500 track lock carbon clutches. I like these diffs.. great. Product for the money for a normal user. Back lash set to .008"-.010" checked in 4 places. The resulting pattern. Will consult with ford racing and see if they have any recommended adjustments. If not I will disassemble, add the pinion seal and a new nut and "slap it all back together".

The rembrandt..
Drive side in the ink and also the ghost pattern.

The coast side.. ink and ghost pattern.

Any input is welcomed.. and if anyone knows where to get the Orins for the axle grooves, I need those too... before I shop randomly at work for some.

Cousin came and spend the day with me. Fully assembled the rear axle. Wire wheeled the hell out of it. Scrubbed it with a little purple power znd power washed it. Etch primed it and sprayed it with the extra eastwood high temp ceramic I had. Decided to use the paint I haD instead of spending the extra money on POR15. Etched. . Waited 20-30 min IMG957930.jpg

Sprayed 2 top coats 20 min. Apart. Now to let it dry for a few days. Next time I go up to install it I will dump in the bottle of friction modifier I forgot to add when filling it.IMG_7933.jpg
We also scrubbed and power washed the tranny too. I will work on that some more later. Itching to paint it... because why the F not..

Well the painter called Wednesday morning saying he wants to start body work asking when the axle will be back in the car. So Thursday night I got BUSAYYY!!

Reinstalled the rear end sorry for the shitty pics... apparently i took them all in HEIC so i screen shotted them to make a jpg.
. But the black background throws it off.. Screenshot_20230526_171448_Gallery.jpg

Then filled the trans. Added the shifter. Put the exhaust back in. Reinstalled the gauge cluster and center console.Screenshot_20230526_171426_Gallery.jpg

Also got a stifflers transmission crossmber and rubber mount.Screenshot_20230526_171430_Gallery.jpg

Also can anyone tell me what this is? It's in my dash behind the radio. This was an auto to manual swap car so I'm presuming it's for something telling the gauge cluster it's in Drive or something.Screenshot_20230526_171435_Gallery.jpg

that connected to the old shifter
Thank you! That's what I suspected :) I was fearful I forgot something to hook backup when I reinstalled the dash. Also, a rectangular rubber piece fell out when I was rummaging in there. Ever see that?

So I had another two purchases recently. Good old American muscle open box and a local sale.

Eibach pro kit for 94-04 v8 verts.. 170 shipped open box special lol20230527_150333.jpg

And a carbon fiber cowl from special carbon fiber parts. Hs a few little clear coat scratches and needs the rubbers transferred over. $100 well spent.20230527_172408.jpg

I have some adhesive I need to remove, only goo gone isn't doing the trick. Any suggestions?

Damn that’s what I like to use a lot of the time . Sometimes I use gas when cleaning rubber off my back bumper not sure I’d trust that on carbon though .

What about a wax adhesive remover drill attachment? I’ve used them before with good results.

That's not a bad idea, I'm not a big exterior paint guy so the territory is foggy for me.

It’s probably the least invasive way to remove that glue. It can be time consuming if you have a large area but it’ll do the job.

I didn't have any issues with the green cars upr. Figured I would give it a second go. Interesting they changed the mild steel color from black to the silver like the chromoly ones
