Matt at NEP right? I am thinking about having him fab up an intake manifold for me too.
Yeah, Matt at NEP.
Are you guys advertising for nep?
LOL no, i am not affiliated or getting any discounts. Merely stating where the heads are going since MHS, MMR, Livernois, AND FOXLAKE all wouldnt copy and paste the CNC routine to add an additional cycle..they didnt want to touch the v10 heads. That being said i had my 4.6 heads done by MHS. Also have their cams... And i have had cams from CMS as well. Would recommend all less MMR.

Here is a engine matching pi set with no balance shaft. They exist together. Im not to sure if they heads were dedicated banks. I would assume the casting could be swapped to either side.

To me those appear to be two passenger heads. Look at the casting ends. It would probably work though

Castings are the same, cam caps are not.drivers head has a double stack cam cap for the balance shaft. Im sure it can run without it. But then again why would they go back and add one after the fact.

it just looks funky with 5 ports :) but funky-cool.
It is incredibly strange working on it. Having to buy 25% more pistons, valves. Springs, sparkplugs, extra bolts. Hard to get used to.

About the only way the cylinder heads will not swap is if the oil galleries are full casted, not machined.

Good to know! Thanks for the insight! I will keep an eye out for valve covers like that, would give me some options for space. I am planning to make a set of K and trans K member spacers so hopefully that will help somewhat. If it comes to it i might bconsider relocating the hole or something.

A few more boxes came!!!
Iron tensioners. Which i will probably modify, new chain guides, dowel pin kit for the tensioner arms. Timing cover, rear main seal plate, cylineer heads and transmission. Nice arp crank bolt, mls exhaust manifold gaskets, and a bag of 39# cobra injectors. Now to find another bag.. or a v6 guy with 2 extras. Oh and a ford performance throw out bearing. Been eye balling flywheel and clutch setups lately too.

My neighbor had an RV with a V-10 he sold dirt cheap for salvage because the roof was rotted and the interior was water damaged. The engine and trans had only about 40k miles on them. I wish I had the imagination back then to nab it.

Well i put in some more work this morning. Sandblasted the tensioner arm, throttle bracket and oil dipstick tube. Then i cleaned everything up with xylene, and taped everything off including the harmonic balancer and water pump. Primed everything with etching primer. 2 coats 10 min. Apart.

Then mixed up that eastwood high temp ceramic engine paint 4:1 paint to accelerator. A little splash of reducer, and put it into my new harbor freight paint gun. Went with the high end central pneumatic one. It worked really well! I am pretty impressed with it. Laid down two medium coats of the ceramic black 20 min apart. Then cleaned the gun with acetone. Now its hanging up to dry.

Then i went to work making a shipping crate for the crank shaft, you can see the finished product. I will double bag the crank, foam the crate and apply the hold down blocks and lid on monday.

It’s coming along nicely!
Thanks man, im trying to get this rotating assembly packed up to send it off to atlanta for balancing ass quickly as i can. That way i can have a moment of clarity to put the header back on the turbo mustang, fo a leak down test. Put the turbo system back in and bring it to the tuner. Once thats out of the garage i sm considering fixing the sheetrock in the garage and painting it white so it will be stupid bright in there.

I have seen maybe 2 in a round body, 1 in a fox and one in a crown vic. Pretty much ZERO documentation. The foxbody had some. And he liked the engine so much that when he wrecked the fox hes putting his v10 in an 80s camaro. Outside of that noone had them modded. The fox guy had a mild compression bump and he made his own ITBs.

Here is his dyno vid.
