I’ve always like the wingless look on sn95’s . The stifflers fit system is so nice .
I am a big fan if their parts. A wingless vert is interesting for sure! I mat consider getting another decklid and welding the holes shut

Yea I’ve only got their cross member and driveshaft loop but killer products for sure . When I bought my car it came with the Kenny brown matrix subframe connectors so I got those in .

I have been keeping my eyes open hoping to find a v6 deck lid to try on and see how I like it on mine for a while now but needless to say they do not just fall into your lap.

I think this helped me a bit. Just reach in and make sure that all the sliders are in the tracks. You can't really get your head to see the front one IIRC and that was the one I missed the first time.

I still need to do this on my vert. ALL of the windows are out of alignment. I just don't want to go through all that trouble before replacing the top seals. Another one of those things I want to try and do "at one time" while I have the interior torn apart.

the top seals just pull off once you drill out the one rivet that holds it in place. Now as I might have mentioned you need to trim the front of the reproduction versions a little or it will squeeze the window as it goes up and slow it down.

Ooof what happened with your rear? I think my posi unit is a cone style auburn unit.. which is non rebuild able. We are in the process of buying a house so I am very nervous about spending money. So I did a lot of careful shopping.

Have on order a
-ford racing limited slip with carbon clutches
-3.73 ford gears (even though I was dead set on 3.55 my buddy convinced me to go with 3.73 on a whim)
-ford friction modfier
-new pinion seal and nut
-ford wheel bearings and seals.. because I'm a rich bitch
- t5 tailhousing bushing and seal.
$590 later my asshole hurts. Have the diff/pinion bearings already.. At least I know this all should finish off any drivetrain hiccups I might have and ensure I can use the 302/t5 combo for a while since the cylinder heads probably won't be finished for a while and my foreseeable future will be building a garage and replacing a house roof. (Bet the heads are finished mid garage build)

Sold the cobra irs outta my mystic so it’s still on stands . I wanna get it outta my shop lol . That’s exciting about the house . I don’t blame you on not wanting to spend money either . I’m trying to spend as little as possible on my car this year and more on the shop renovations.

That sucks on the boat anchor sitting there. Any ford 8.8s locally?

It was a nice day on Sunday so I did a little interior work today. Taped off my door card. Scuffed it with scotch bright. Blew it off and gave it a nice wipe down with alcohol. Laid down a medium coat of sand free prep, then immediately laid down a light coat of white. This supposedly melts the paint into the plastic substrate. Followed by 2 more coats.20230326_171428.jpg

And the door card next to my backseat

Very close! I am super pleased with the LMR interior paint. Met another local mustang guy that offered me a newer style charcoal center console with thr cup holders. So I will prime it and give it 2 cans of paint and hope it works. I need to pull the dash and prep/ spray that. When I am in there I will replace the heater core.

The guy is working out a barter with me. I will give him/install my stock 4.6 into one of his many mustangs/grt it running and give him some a saleen spoiler and the cobra skirts off of green car and he will repaint red car for me. Hope it works out for both parties.

Well.. I worked out a barter with a local guy I met. So hopefully in the next few weeks red car will be painted fresh lazer red. Super exciting! Started stripping the exterior of its trim and such. Off with the door trim, quarter trim, convertible top trim, mirrors, cowl panel, front bumper, rear bumper, tail lights, gas door, trunk panel, 3rd brake light, side skirts, side scoops and some other miscellaneous bits. Will be getting both the horizontals and verticals painted.20230403_132737.jpg

That was part of Sunday, then put an engine into the guys car, still need to finish that up. Then finished stripping it Monday.

Removed the A pillar trim/visors,20230403_135851.jpg
Then the centerconsolr, seats, and then the dashboard.20230403_154630.jpg

Fast forward to tonight. Tuesday.. 20230404_201718.jpg

Came out way better than I thought! I might pull the air back and redo that though. Next time I make my way up to the garage I will drain the coolant some and replace the heater core. Then if I can, stab the dash back into it and center console/seats.

Alright. So Sunday funday I ended up draining the coolant, changing the heater core. That was a little bit of a pain in the ass. Turns out it was changed once.. with what looked like an 01-04 style. And it didn't look bad at all.. so an Interesting waste of time and $30-40. So I swapped it out and put the dash back in. Center consol. Seats. Shifter boot. Fired it up and burned the coolant top off.20230408_190450.jpg

Looking fresh Son! When I disassembled it though. The panel under the steering wheel cracked do I need to find this piece.
20230404_214858.jpg

Then I found the blending door wasn't working. So I found a vacuum leak. Bandaid fixed it. Yep that was it. I need to find that hard 1/8 vacuum line with the bulb ends that push into the rubber grommets. Next I pulled the dash apart and half my gauge cluster and hvac bulbs are dead. So I was exhausted at this point. 9:30 pm so I decided to pull the h pipe, drive shaft. Centerconsole and shifter back out. And out came the tranny.20230408_224326.jpg

Knocked out the tailshaft bushing. Knocked in a new seal

And changed the speedo gears to a 3.73 set

Then reassembled the tranny and went home
