Ok so just doing some surfing online and I just made my self sick think about putting a coyote in the stang. Ford racing sell the entire computer harness setup and create motor, yes it pricey but 412hp in a stock motor plus 25 mpg make me want it. By the time I build a stroker with forged internals bigger heads and larger turbo I can sell my setup and put that money to swap. Just say

I know I've seen it done a few times. I'd be interested in the swap too for sure. All that power plus the MPG. How much did it come out to Alex?

I did a quick search the frp PCM kit was $1800 and the motor is $5500 to $7000. But I'm sure if look harder and give it a year you can get a junk yard motor out of a wreck for less.

Someone on stangnet did it with the prices for EVERY single thing. I think it came out to 18k. May need to double check that though. Would be an awesome swap though..

PCM and Motor are probably the easiest part. It's fitting the engine into our car, which is the pain. It's the little things that add up probably. That's where they got the 18k. I personally would just go and buy a new car. But if you could do it. It would definitely be cool, I'll admit I have thought about it a few times.

I'm sure if you give it enough time some will make a k member, oil pan and bell housing that will make it EZ.

That would be associate editor Johnsons 94 cobra. I have spoke to him in detail about the swap as I have been very interested in doing this in the future. From what he told me its between 11-12k in just parts alone. There is also some fab work that has to be done as nobody out there has made a complete swap kit for this yet. Now with that said this isnt a swap fo your average joe. A termi swap would be alot more reasonable for most.

more parts are coming out everyday though. we have the motor, pcm, oil pan, headers, mid-pipe, and alternator. you'd need the k-member and a bellhousing/tranny. cold air intake could be made easily enough. i'm sure there are plenty of other wiring things you'd need. just recently in the 5.0 mag they made mention of having to custom fab up a new pedal assembly to make it drive-by-wire. seems one of the hardest things to do.

i've very much thought about it since i can get some discount on a bunch of the parts. i would love to do it with the aluminator and put a turbo on it.

Kurgan Motorsports in Atlanta did 2 in Fox bodies earlier this year. They said they would have to charge close to 20K to make any money off of doing one for someone.
