They are the best, did this on my 00 GT about 6 months of owning it and loved it so much that I ordered them for the 96 GT the day I brought it home

nice dude, are they from Redline Tuning? I love mine.

Yep, they're the redline brand, Install was easy and they work perfectly. Great product.

lol, it's a PITA.. I've got an idea on how to re-do mine at some point, they're not perfect and that will drive me insane. It was just another "I've never seen that done" mod and I like them a lot.

I've always wanted to try those Redline's, but was afraid to.
Anyone ever use them on an aftermarket hood? They attach with rivet's correct?

Did you paint the whole badge to match your car? Wouldn't that just look like they never took them off when they painted the fenders?

As far as I know they will work fine on aftermarket hoods.

Umm.. Can't you see the pictures? I painted the "chrome" part of the badge to match the car.

Not to be a d*ck...but whats been up your ass lately? I feel like every comment you make is angry/condescending? Come on my fellow Sn95 man...lets lighten up a bit. Look at his emblems, he painted the chrome not the black part...its a nice contrast and looks awesome. I think I am going to try this with my GT emblems as well.

I've had several issues with the kit but overall it's really nice. For instance the brackets on the fenders put chips in the paint on my hood when i closed them, so i had to grind off the top part of the brackets. Also on my R hood the underside isn't the same as the stock hood so i had to grind off a lot of the bracket so they'd fit the R hood too. Also i had to remove a bolt from each fender cause it was hitting the large part of the piston...

badass98svt, I 1st had mine on my stock GT hood. I went with a 96-98 Cobra, so I had to buy new hook up things. Sorry, just went totally blank! I do know that before it had like 2 holes. Now it has 3. Sorry, I tried.

I actually had the same problems Onyx had with his kit.

I didnt have to grind down brackets.... But I did have problems with my hood closing. I had to run my hood in reverse compared to the O/P. I also had problems with one of my fender bolts hitting the hood struts themselves. I replaced the bolt that was hitting the strut on each side with a low profile head bolt. Had it painted red like the fender so it matched.

No problems, if I recall those pics weren't all there when I posted that yesterday.
As far as some of my other posts, I just get sick of people blabbing on and on with wrong info and bad advice.

I really don't mind the prop rod... I even took the time to polish it, go figure.

the shocks do look good though.

I've been wanting to do these for years but never got around to it.

I emailed with the tech guy who had them on his car that had a Cobra R hood and he said he just had to trim a piece of the mounting bracket because the undersides of the hood are different.

I still have the email and pics saved from Brian @ Redline

Hello,

Do you have the stock 'Ford' R-model hood? If so, this is the same
vehicle/hood that I have. Yes, our kit is compatible with your vehicle...
However, the standard 94-98 Mustang QuickLIFT has a dual-lip hood frame,
while the R-model hood has 3 smaller lips making up the hood frame - this
doesn't allow our hood bracket to sit without slight modification.

We currently do not sell our kit for the R-model hoods, however, this is a
very simple modification to grind down the upper edge of the bracket
(allowing the hood bracket mounting surface to lay flat). If you are
interested in this kit, please let us know.

For more information, you can download our installation manual and compare
the photos to your hood to see the difference, or view the attached photos.

Thanks,
Brian
