Handz, do you have any evidence that a stock Mustang will stomp a stock F-body at the track other than your considerable (lack of) expertise?

Have you ever seen a F-Body on a Road course j.r? It looks like a freakin' joke.

Other than on TV watching Trans Am racing, nope, i haven't. I have owned several third gens, and one fourth gen, as well as a few Mustangs, and I know I don't get that feeling in the F-body when pushing it hard of "please god don't hit a bump, don't hit a bump" in mid corner like I always do in a stang.

At any rate, you've still dodged the question. Why, does MM toute their Torque arm kit so much, if the car designed around it would get stomped at the road course?

Why do all the Cobra's in NASA run solid rear ends if the Cobra would stomp a WS6 on a road course?

This is fun............ :nonono:

This is an ongoing thing, it's come up several times, and he never answers. I originally, seriously, earnestly, wanted to know, but now I'm convinced he doesn't know himself, and just say's it for the fun of it.

I am a stang person, period. When the last one died, I was told no more mustangs, so I wanted a T/A. Was also told no to that, but eventually convinced him to let me get another stang.

I have no problems with T/A's, I think they are beautiful, and know they can kick my car's ass any day.

Seriously, this is getting old quick. If you don't like Handz, great, but give the rest of us a break with the constant badgering.

The car that designed around the mighty torque arm isn't that quick because it's heavy, really heavy. That, and the stock pieces (to my knowledge) are stamped steel, which isn't known for it's torsional strength.

Just because this almighty suspension is under a car doesn't mean that car is automatically going to dominate everything. Put a torque arm under a Semi Truck. It's not going to instantly go and win an autocross. That's just the way it works.

And the NASA cars run solid axles because they're cheap, don't weigh much, and are strong. I'm sure that if you tried to convince someone who owned one of those cars to put in a heavier, weaker axle out back because it may handle a little better, they would say no. And I would assume the reasoning to be that they don't want to have to worry about breaking half-shafts, or carrying around an extra 100 lbs.

Every car has it's flaws. There is no supreme ruler of all cars that has no flaws and makes everyone happy. so to have a big thread about how terrible the car that everyone on this site bought is, is pointless. If the engine is what makes the car for you, then yes, an LS based engine is probably the hot ticket for you, if not, then hell, it may still be the hot ticket for you, but it also may not be. If F-Bodies were really the most amazing car ever, then everyone would have them, but since they aren't, people buy other cars. The same goes for the Mustang.

well said craig. Chevrolets are cheap no doubt, but theres nothing like a built mustang, it's hard to replicate that in a different brand of car. LSx motors are expensive, and even though they don't require as many of the parts as the expensive 4v cobra motors, they are expensive still. I still maintain a sn95 with a windsor in it, hell it could even be a stock 94-96 roller windsor motor with a mustang cam in it, would give a ls1 hell. The difference between a 4.6 and a 351 is a BIG in power, and the cubes are close enough between chevys 5.7 and fords 5.8 to show that a ford with stock iron e7s can give a chevy with aluminum heads hell :coolsmiley:

I LOVE the LSX motors.... I HATE the F-Body.

Monaro>F-Body

LS1 Miata>F-Body

LS1 RX7>F-Body

.....GM screwed up putting a Great powertrain in a horrible chassis.... I dont blame GM for making the F-Body So Lame because it makes the Corvette Look 10x Better

I like f-body's they actually have more room for the driver than the mustang does lol and more of a backseat. on the t/a's i like the hatches :p and the t-tops

I wish we would've had targa tops on our cars, or t-top option or something cool like that lol

Amazing, now stop trying to run people over with your opinion as being "the truth".
