Looking at intakes now.
Livernois kit is a bit exspensive but has everything needed as I can see.
So is the extra cash spent worth it?

The price is a bit high but when cost out all the parts that come with its not that bad, unless you get a great deal on a pi intake.
What you all think.

Thats exactly what i got and would buy it again if i had to. On a supercharged car, i gained 30rwhp from just swapping on this kit. Went from 313rwhp to 343rwhp.

I believe it, espessially on a blown car. The NPI intake is more of a restriction to flow than the NPI heads, you'll get great gains from the PI intake swap, especially up top. Atleast thats what I've seen and heard from guys doing just the PI intake swap.

On another note, did you consider the RTV method? Seems like alot of guys are have great luck with that and saving about 250 bucks doing it. I've never personally done it, but the practicallity of the method makes sence to me...its what I would have done if I hadn't found a set of heads dirt cheap.

yes, i picked up 30rwhp from just the pi manifold swap...but like said keep in mind i am supercharged. n/a guys can probably pick up about half of that i would say. yeah guys on here claim that the rtv method works, but i have a buddy that tried it and had problems, i forget what. he might have done something wrong, but who knows. i think its better to be safe than sorry, if you buy this kit you will never have to worry about a thing. Also as said, this intake made my car clime all the way to like 5800rpms which felt amazing.

I am looking at doing both the RTV method or going with this kit.
I figure about 200 for the manifold and 100 to 150 for all the other stuff coolant tube etc.
I have the ability to do the tap and RTV but dont have a lot of time.
So I am thinking that the extra 150 or so I will spend might be a better option for time.
I just wonder if there are any performance benifets to getting the Livernois kit.
That would help me justify spending the xtra cash.

^No, it is all just a stock PI manifold. only difference is the Livernois kit comes with every part needed for install plus the adaptor plates to make the manifold fit the non pi heads.

I used the rvt method but if i had the money back then i would have went with the plates... reason being that the plates slope the air into the smaller head runners where as the rvt its just a flat surface the air hits... that can't be good for flow

The Livernois kit has the plenum mount milled down to clear the stock hood when their adapter plates are used.

I ran around without a kit for like two year's, RTV and no issues. BTW, the magazone test (for what that's worth) of the Livernois kit picked up 27 rwhp tuned,
