$5 says he doesn’t care :) The only thing dangerous about that windshield banner is not seeing the red light turn green without cocking your head to the side. Ask me how I know?

I think you are owed $5! Yeah that's pretty much the only downfall. There's really nothing else to see up there. And most intersections have the vertical lights on the side as well, made just for me

The cops around here (if they feel like hassling you) will use a dollar bill for the front strip. Anything longer than a bill gets you a ticket.

March 2018. I forgot to mention that in January 2017 we got our 2013 Mustang GT, which is in the background. We got it for $22k with 18k miles. Premium with black leather, automatic.

I finally decided I was done with the stance game. I bought the Mustang to have fun driving. With the wheel fitment and ride height, it was nice to look at in a parking lot, but not a pleasure to drive. I had the dampers turned way up so it was pretty rough. I had to be careful with the suspension flexing because the rear lip would touch the rear quarter panel. I had to worry about the stretched tires. I had to use wood ramps to get in and out of the driveway. I would constantly blow the intercooler piping off because it would scrape...etc.

So, I swapped the wheels for the WedsSports once again. Raised the car slightly and got it aligned. The second it was off the rack I took the car for a real drive. Also, the windshield banner came off. That was really the metaphorical turning of the page for me. This was the start of a new chapter...

Good move with the ride height. Stance is cool but it's no fun stressing out every time you go to take your pony for a ride because the front end is too low.

I haven't looked back since! It was definitely one of the best decisions I made in the course of building the Mustang. Stance is great to look at, but not to live with. I used to think those 2017 photos on the SSR wheels were the best the car ever looked. But... I think I have created a new favorite look for the car! I just have a few more years to write about before we get there...

I have been dying to do some light painting since I first saw it. I have a photographer buddy that owes me a favor when I get it back on the road I am going to take advantage of.

It's great fun, and there's so much you can do with it! I use a Streamlight Switchblade for light painting now. It has a white light as well as a daylight setting. Very helpful when doing different color cars.

May 2020. Top speed attempt on my old GoPro Hero 4. 153mph on GPS. At this point, stock heads and cam, stock transmission and 2.73 rear end.

June 2020. I found a Laser Red Cobra part out on Craigslist. It was in Pueblo, CO. It's about a 5 hour drive, so Arthur and I loaded up in his Tahoe and went to pick up the hood and bumper. Well, they certainly didn't look as good as the pics when we showed up! But, it was $350 for the pair so I took them home anyway.

June 2020. Did some polishing on the Cobra bumper. There was paint chipping under the headlights, so I wrapped the area with matte black vinyl. It just gives the car a little goth eyeliner look. I installed the Cobra foglight housings too. In the last pic you can see how many bugs the Ranger air deflector eats.

How often does that Ranger air deflector scrape? I like the look of that - have you detailed the install anywhere?
