::Where I'm at now:: I bought my mustang wrecked in Feb '06. There wasn't alot of body work to be done to get it "fixed" but I wanted a little more. So, I decided on ordering a body kit. Great, it looks sweet, but a hood would make it so much better... Ok, looking nice, wonder how side exhaust would look? ...and thats how it started. Now I'm striving towards a car show quality ride. Some of the major things I'd like to do in the future is: Roush Body Kit Side Exhaust Cobra R SVO Hood 18" GT 40 Wheels wrapped in 275/35's and 295/35's 13" Drilled/Slotted Rotors 1.5" Drop Custom leather Interior 4.10 Gears 7" TouchScreen in a Custom Benzel 2 12" Subs hidden in behind the rear seats Lambo Doors Roush Kit Cobra R SVO Hood GT 40 Wheels My cd player should look something similar to 1trikgt's Let me know what you think of my vision here...
Re: My 97 GT "Build Thread" **WIP** ::History:: I bought my car from a rebuild-able lot for $3450 of which I had to pay on for 3 months considering I pay for everything done to my ride. It wasn't in the best of shape when I first got it but all the inner fender and the right side of the car was untouched by the previous wreck. The door and fender had to be replaced, there was mixed opinions about the rear but I opted to stick a quarter on it. Since I had to paint anyways I figured I ought to go ahead and put a bodykit. After months of looking through magazines and sifting through pictures off of Google I decided to go with the Roush Kit. In my opinion, its one of the best flowing bodykit out there for SN95's. I found an kit on eBay so I got a deal on it. I have a few pictures of it held up on there but, they suck... After I got that in the mail I started looking for the elusive and expensive exhaust tips. While I was searching for thoses I knew I had to put a hood on it. My bodyman (which is actually my soon-to-be-Father-in-law ) told me to make sure to buy a good quality hood or I'd regret it... this is why I regretted my hood: We ended up having close to 45 work hours in just the fiberglass/bondo work. :comando: ###I'll update this further when its not so late###
Re: My 97 GT "Build Thread" **WIP** ^ reserved...lol I think you have a nice project on your hands....keep up the good work, and it will be a beauty
Re: My 97 GT "Build Thread" **WIP** sounds like a great map you have laid out there, the only thing im not sure on is the lambo dors I have heard most guys say they are :rice: but if you like em go for em
Re: My 97 GT "Build Thread" **WIP** Not big on the lambo door idea either, and that ball on the shifter needs to go.
Re: My 97 GT "Build Thread" **WIP** We got to blow some paint on her friday night. Here's some teaser pics: :naughty:
Re: My 97 GT "Build Thread" **WIP** funny you ask that, I found a post on FnSweet about the same it I bought... I didn't get the reserve price but I ended up calling the seller and what the deal was is that he had bought the kit, then sold the Stang. I ended up getting it for about $400 I believe which is a steal cause it is awesome quality. There was literally no prep work. I had to smooth out around the rolls of the side skirt which is nothing. They normally go for aroung $900 now I think.
