cool man.. Keep close track of your ETs each trip and you can really compare what works and doesn't work..

I'm running stock mach 1 springs, cut 1 coil in the front, MM rear lower LCAs, tokico 5 way illuminas, and running heavy ass 18" chrome saleens up front and 26x8.5x15 et drags on heavy steel ford ranger rims. I drop the clutch at 6k and let it go, I have cut a few 1.6x's, best is a 1.67. I guarentee with no front sway bar and some light weight wheels I could knock it to low 1.6s. You aren't going to go anywhere without clutch dropping on slicks, just as soon as you drop it HAMMER the gas. This is me dropping and hammering the gas, my 60 time was 1.68 in this vid.

Mine in this pic only had a 2.0 60ft launching at 5k. Its got a lot of suspention goodies to. But with out seat time its hard to pull a low 60ft. Hell mine should be 1.7-1.8s atleast but with only 3 passes on drag radials its hard to get there with out pratice.

I know dropping the clutch works on cars making good power. But like i said before mine doesn't make enough to roll out after doing that.
Last night i held it at 4 grand and rode the clutch out and i could hear the tires spin a little.
I tried just dropping it at 5 grand, and of course it bogged. so then i tried slipping and it worked.
I know it worked good for me because i could feel the car pulling me back in my seat, of course it didn't throw me in my seat but i sure as hell could feel it pulling.
i need to drop from 15 psi down to 10 and try it again

I also need to get a good video so y'all can see what i mean. I think maybe I'm not explaining my self in the correct terms :(

also wanted to add 1 more thing.. It pulled hard enough to make me need to take a piss really bad lol

10 is a little on the low side that will slow down ur trap speed a bunch . The lowest I've gone is like 13psi . I don't see why ur bogging so bad my NPI shit box didn't have such issues nor did my 5.0 , like you said tho seat time is key

^ i have a feeling that's it. The sound was no where near as bad as it sounds now when i 1st picked it up. The mechanic was a little surprised when he was able to hear how loud it was while i was on the phone

It takes a lot of practice to get your 60' down but it will happen. Your already making improvements. Dont worry about who you are racing and about your reaction time either. A lot of people try to cut good lights but it has no effect on your ET. Its fine to just sit there and let the other car go and focus more on your launch. When I have had a loud car next to me I have let them go first at times. When your happy with where your 60' is with how the car is now then you can start adding suspension mods. The key to a good 60' is traction and weight transfer. Adjustable shocks / Struts will help with the weight transfer and upper / lower control arms and tires will help with planting the power to the pavement. So far my best 60' is a 1.66 but that was still on the crappy stock uppers and not good for drag racing lowering springs.

:D This was a 5,000 RPM Dump off the line with sicks.
