i have bought mostly everything on my car. my dad does buy me parts from time to time but i will do things for him in return like help him with his cars or clean up the garage or get things for him. i know they may be minor but i only work 2 days a week and my car needs attention sometimes so. also, my current engine is consuming lots and lots of oil so its time to get it freshened up. we bought this motor to originally go into my black cobra but we aren't doing that anymore. im very appreciative. i dont take advantage of my parents at all and they know that.

this motor will probably end up being my dads anyways if he decides to keep the white cobra which is fine because after this motor, we are ripping out my black cobras engine while i drive the white cobra and we will be forging that motor as well. ill probably buy the pistons, rods, and anything else i want for that though because i will have my summer job.

hey thats cool. i wasnt trying to call you out or anything and thats awesome that you and your dad get to do things like that together. the reason i brought it up is cause when i was in high school, a friend of mine's dad bought him stuff like that for his car and he took it for granted. i would have loved to have a dad that was in to hotrodding. my dad is into mainstream sports like football, basketball, and baseball. i like to play those sports but dont keep up with them.

AHHH idk all these answers haha....

im still researching everything because i dont know all the info. my dad had surgery on his nose cause he couldn't breathe really well out of it so i haven't been able to ask him.

i dont have the cast number for the heads, they are in my dorm room, im in my girlfriends so i cannot tell you if they are C-heads. I do know that everything goes together though lol. i just have to put it back together.

and i dont know the compression ratio. i will call lonestar tomorrow to get all this info for you guys. im sorry, im just as anxious to get these questions answered too! :thumb:

And I know you weren't callin me out fairlane, i was just saying i appreciate what my dad does for me. :thumb:

i am still trying to figure out if this is infact a 99 teksid block which is supposed to be the strongest Teksid block made and im almost positive it is.

im confused i thought the teksid was the 96-98 blocks and the wap was the 99 and up.....so is it a 99 block?? if so it looks like you have 99 heads and block... a 96-98 intake...and is it coil-on-plug or not?? you should call that thing Frank-N-Cobra lol

Sounds good. I was just wondering about the CR because it seems like forged internals would be necessary only if you were going the power adder route in the near future.

from what ive gained so far, which isn't much because theres more people on the internet not sure of what motor they have, 99's used WAP blocks but there are some motors from 99 that have the XR3E casting and some people think these are Teksid blocks that were remanufactured blocks (people who blew a motor under warranty get a re manufactured block)

i emailed Yo Ken! from muscle mustangs and fast fords cause my dealership couldn't answer my question or dallas mustang or anyone else i talk to.. does SVT have a number i could call??

I had a tube for the coolant on my 00 PI motor, it was a Xr3e xxxxxxx. The tube was for a 2000, so it leads me to believe that block was stamped in 00.

Also it did not cross reference, i'm not all here at the moment lol so forgive me if i'm dead wrong. The numbers make me think its a 00'

aren't ferraris and stuff ohc? just putting it out there.

i believe so...... but that kinda came out of left field of random ballpark...

Trey wh don't you put the built white cobra motor into the black cobra, and rebuild your stock one
for the white? it sounds like you want the same type of mods into your motor when you rebuild it, why
not use the white motor now??

slo5oh, the black cobra's motor needs a rebuild too so either way it will come and get rebuilt and go back in..

im going to keep my black cobras motor in the black cobra because i know how its been treated for the past 2 years and its condition. but i am tempted to use the other block because it has less than 10k miles on it.

either way, my black cobras motor will be forged. we just thought it would be easier to put this motor in the white car since there is nothing in it, then ill drive the white cobra while we yank the black cobra's motor. idk we may switch it up again but well see.. :thumb: :thumb:
