Ooohh!!! Using caps lock!! OMG internet is serious business! Its for realz dawg!! Don't make me laugh dude. For someone who's probably familiar with the boards and how they work, you certainly have a very thin skin.

Maybe there are some members that are full of it, maybe there aren't, but if I see something that does not add up, like your "track picture" for example, I'll go ahead and call BS on it, if I feel like. I would do it regardless whether I'm a mod or a regular posting member.

Kind of beat of you calling him out. He has no reason. Its not like Handz who never post pictures of anything. Sorry not everyone is HXC track driver like you.

Wow, is this really how new members are treated here? Having thick skin for the internet isn't the point, when members act this way towards each other (especially moderators) this isn't an environment that people are going to want to be part of.

+1 some people just suck these days

Thank You my Friend! I hope you get one too! The 393 with a Supercharger would be SWEET! :headbang:

I don't have any pic's of the 67 it's in Storage right now. Here's the 89. It has 52Kmi, Speedline 17" wheels, and a Saleen /Vortech intake. It was a Local car and is VERY sweet!

I love those cars!!! I shoulda bought one when I had the chance, but I wanted something I could modify with my own two hands.

One question for the thread starter, do the hoods on your cars say "Saleen" on them, or have any script at all? the reason ask is I have a saleen S351 hood on my car, and I am wondering if it is authentic. Just wondering.

So which one do you drive the most? supercharged or NA?

Hey Man! Thanks for the PM yesterday welcoming me!

Well #77 has the Saleen heat extractor hood but it is all Carbon Fiber. I have done research on it and there are very few out there. Most of the heat extractors were a composite hood. I have personally never seen another Carbon Fiber one except in pictures. No it doesn?t say Saleen anywhere on it. #58 is just a stock hood. Not all S351?s came with the heat extractor hoods, or Alcon brakes, etc.

You should have got one when you could...they are easy to modify!! #77 is totally modified. Not much left stock at all. It even has DFI so the Ford computer is gone and no PCV valve, even my 67 has one of those!. :laughing5:

Thank You Very much!

Your welcome!! thanks for answering my question so fast, I have always wondered if it was a genuine piece, it is better quality than alot of the remakes of the Saleen hoods I see. Thanks again for the clarification. your right, I shoulda bought one several years ago. I actually had my eye on a black with silver accents, it was stock, as stock as they come, anyways. the one I was looking at looked alot like the one with the single wing, and had the supercharger. shoulda bought it at 14K. ah well, the stang I have now is just as much fun to drive, with Griggs racing suspension and a built motor.

That's a pretty sweet story man, you have a nice collection of cars.

Those rolled tips do look great with the Saleen rear bumper, I probably wouldn't have a custom exhaust made so I'd have to find something that worked decent with them as is. You say they're 3.5" though? I wouldn't have guessed that big.

I'm not sure if the non carbon fiber heat extractor hoods said Saleen or not, I will find out for you!

14K!!! You would have STOLEN it for that!!

I here ya on the Griggs, #77 has a full Griggs suspension and it a blast to drive too!!

They are around 17" long, and 3 1/2" tips. With the roll the opening on the tip is only 3" but if you measure them they are 3 1/2" across.
They get smaller at the end so you can weld them onto a 2 1/2 pipe. Just cut your old tails back and put these on!
I had to go to an exhaust shop because the Flowmaster set up was not fitting right at all, the H pipe I bought was pretty bad too. Everything needed to be cut and rewelded. Not sure if this had to do with it being a 351 and Saleen notched the K member and moved the engine back also. On my other one with a Griggs Kmember things seemed to fit alot better than this car. :dontknow:
But you will probably have to have a shop adjust the tailpipes to get the right angle for the Saleen valance and weld on the tips.

Stock Saleen Borla tips were 3" across at the exit.....these 3 1/2" rolled tips really fill out the rear exhaust openings better I think.

Cool, thanks man!!! I may try to make my own carbon fiber hood, using this one to make a cast. this one has some cracks and stuff, so I think making my own would be cool. depends on the next place I find to live, I need a bigger garage!!

hmm, yeah i don't really want to do a whole custom exhaust right now. I never thought the stock Saleen tips looked good but with the rolled tips it looks mint, something to consider for the future.

SLP makes a rolled double walled exhaust tip for a reasonable price if you shop around a little.
