THE SUBJECT

1997 Ford F250, 209k miles, never been waxed before last week...

(i only did the hood, it was cold and getting dark)

BEFORE

IPA wipedown on the hood

i have no idea what this is

AFTER M105 on an orange hexlogic pad, then M205 on a white hexlogic pad

tips and comments welcome!

i used M105 and 205, and CG scratch and swirl remover

You sure did pick a tank for your first buff job! Nice progress. One that bad is hard to fix perfect, but if you get it to shine like hell it will overpower whatever imperfections are left.

Good job for your first time. It looks like you need ALOT more passes with M105. M105 has a weird learning curve.

I dont know all the lingo since I dont use most of the same stuff you guys do. What is M105?

M205 is only for cleaning up very light swirls left behind from M105.... M105 should do almost all the correction.
