Part of the way done with my top end build

Im doing a small build on the top end and exhaust of this car. Not even trying to make the car quick, just something better than stock. To me, a vert. is pointless trying to make fast.

Port and polished gt40 lower and ceramic coated Ford Blue

BBK shortys, Bassani Catted Xpipe and Flowmaster. All blasted and ceramic coated Flat Silver

Valve covers, thermostat housing(Acces. brackets and pulleys are next) Ceramic coated Ford Blue

Just started porting the exhaust side of the gt40p heads and only gasket matching and deburring the intake side. Will put pics up when done. Also going on are a set of edelbrock performer rpm springs and 1.7 cobra rocker arms on the stock cam, about .474 lift.

tell that to TRUBBLE... 9 sec zone in a vert, the droptop didn't slow him down.. haha.
anywho looks like a good build, but you are planning on keeping the stock cam when doing all those decent upgrades to heads and
intake? seems like a good time to upgrade the cam while you're in there to a steeda 19 or something... just my 2 cents.

Steeda 19 cam only give .06 more lift and look at any flow sheet on gt40 heads, after .500 lift, the numbers just hit a wall.
Like I said, to me making a vert fast is pointless when you can have a coupes chasis that is more secure. Also you can make a vert fast, most guys with verts that go that fast have ripped out the top motor and so on for the wieght loss, whats the point of a vert when you cant drop the top.
