Im going to turn this into my compiled pictures/build-up thread for this car. Now that i know how to edit a post title, ill update new pics in the very first post, (this post) with new mods and things like that.

Looks good without the spoiler both ways to me. I always thought the spoilers looked tacked on anyway. Really cleans these cars up to remove them imo...

Looking good man, I need to get mine that low soon. I gotta say i vote for keeping the spoiler on, but it's not about what we like but what you like best. Keep up the good work man

why didn't you use gloss black if you wanted a glossy finish?

It was actually just an accident. Figured by using rubbing compound to get the imperfections out they'd just polish out to satin finish. I wanted the matte black look until I saw one glossed up with the flat black backgrounds. I'll get some better pics this weekend.

As much as I love a wingless SN or New edge body, I need to make an exception to the convertibles. I'm gonna throw it back on.
A vert with my color combo I got going needs the black spoiler... At least for now.

Needs the bottom end rebuilt. Gonna get it out and to a machine shop asap. Can not wait to fire this thing up. It makes me want to do a full terminator clone now..

Pieced together a hood strut kit from the salvage yard. $15 total. Love how high it lifts the hood. No more dumb prop.

Please share what struts you used!! thats an awesome idea man

I'm pretty sure if you get the weight of the hood close when you pick the donor car it'll be no problem. Was going to use 2000 Taurus struts then found these which were longer. They're off a 2001 Lincoln LS and I used 2 pair of bottom pivot balls so I had 4 with threads on them. Turned out great.

Im actually in the process of this same thing. . Using stuff from the expeditions. .

Yea, those should work fine. The main thing to do is get 4 of the bottom pivots so you can put a nut on the top ones unless you'll be welding parts.
