i finaly got to throw on my intake this weekend, went real good and fits fine under the stock hood but it is taller then i thought it would be.

i also smoothed out the EGR mount and polished my elbow too...turned out clean looking

here is a shot of the allen bolts i got for the upper. they are stainless with thick stainless washers that i turned a taper on and counter sunk the heads into.

Those washers are bitchin'. Nice attention to detail. You made them yourself?

yes, i made those washers....having a lathe and knowing how to use it is a REAL nice thing...lol

93 stock fox covers...polished of course

the 93 covers don't have those ribs you normaly need to grind off to clear 1.7 stud rockers.

im calling these 93 covers even thoe the part number is F2. as we all know ford went with roller rockers in the 93 cobras and they also changed the valve cover casting to go with it.

yah, thats what i was thinking of going with too. They look great! I can just un-rib the earlier ones, correct? for 1.7s?

well, that intake looks great, and even though I was going to go with the polished typhoon that I have, i'm now starting to polish my cobra for fun while my car is down. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

how did you get the casting flaws out- epsecially the runners? Its taking forever on my cobra since there is a THICK layer of primer on it and under that there are a lot of casting flaws that just annoy me a lot. I am using files and 40 grit paper, and getting there slowly.

aircraft aluminum stripper! i just found out that it works wonders

yeah, that works great for the factory powder coat or what ever is on there but i ment as far as the casting itself.
