Yesterday I picked up a 70MM BBK throttle body, and EGR plate for 120. Came with the TPS and EGR valve.
I also began porting the lower GT40 intake. Been working on the S bends, since thats the restrictive part of the manifold. Ill get pics up when Im done.

Hit the quarter for the first time in this car.

14.48 quarter was my best time.

Out of the two runs, did a .097 and .157 reaction time :eek:ccasion14:

2.202 and 2.278 60 foots on street tires at 30 psi.

Any good for stock intake, cam, full bodied streetcar SN?

Well I finally got my new password reset....What a pain.

Anyways, I went to Colorado for a week and when I came back, my drivers door and fender were caved in! Also broke my drivers mirror. Today I had the insurance adjuster look at it today. Im kinda worried because he was talking about it would be borderline totall.

I will know tomorrow. Im hoping for 1000-1200, we will see. I can put a door, fender, and a full cobra conversion (cept paint) for that kind of money.

Door jambs dont seem bent, so Im wishing for the best.

Today I swapped in both a fox main/engine harness and an A9L. The timing/ fuel maps make all the difference. NOT an easy swap. But I did get it driveable in less than say 8hrs working on it.

Id reccomend anyone building a track only car think about this swap ( its not that hard, just every thing else; besides the motor, has to be made to work).

Only had to buy a distributor, IGN module, BAP sensor and some wiring to get the sucker to run.

Running a 93 GT harness. I could have gotten away repinning the factory harness, but the fox stuff makes under the hood soo much cleaner. No CCRM, ect.

Anyways, if you had to ask why Ive done this....Its because of all the stories Ive read about people getting their car tuned. Dropping 5-700 bucks for a tune, (that is not adaptable, and may not even be right)...and being unhappy with it. Get a good tuner?---eh, I cant afford to find a good one.

Hopefully the next mod on the stang will be the X303 and GT40 intake, with the 70MM TB I have laying on the shelf. (maybe a smaller cam, maybe not). Hell Im still running the factory airbox. :p

I have not heard these horror stories about tuning. 8 hrs to get around it and how much did the parts cost?

I forgot to mention that I also bought a used GT bumper because mine was tweaked pretty bad. Installed it a few days ago.

And with it in

I think I spent like 150 for the dizzy and MAP. 50 foor the harness and a free computer. So it wasnt that expensive.

Oh and thanks for all the complements. It keeps me motivated.

You should do the matte black finish that come stock on GT bumpers under the "Mustang GT lettering. It will give a great contrast.

I love your car! I still dont understand why Ford chose to do some, and some without. Was it the luck of the draw? Mine had it, but my buddies 96 crystal white vert didn't. He had to do it himself.

pretty sure they were all black from the factory and its either an aftermarket bumper or the car was painted.

His car was repainted, got clipped a long a long time ago. So it probably was year(s) specific. I'm guessing 94-96 for the GT's right?

My car developed a dead hole. New plugs, cap, rotor, injector test, all lead me to think I burned an exhaust valve on number 1. Im going to do a compression test to make sure soon..

Grrrrr. Maybe an excuse to buy some aluminum heads though.. AFR 185's....mmmmm.

Well after battling the misfire problem for a few days, I FINALLY figued out the problem.

The car was running on two dead holes 3 and 8. #3 burned the wire on the Mac shorties. Number 8 was a toughie. The 93 harness was missing the pin at the PCM (number 52) and its wire was cut a few inches up. It was the 8th injector ground trigger. Repinned it, fixed the plug wire.

Thing runs nuts now, Very torquey, very responsive.

Today I couldnt get it to start after I drove it a while. Im finding the ECT output is like 4.98 volts (VREF is 5.08) when the thing is hot.

Cheap ass advance auto ECT has me pissed. Shoulda gone motocraft to begin with. :p

Bumped the timing to 15. Very happy with the results (was at 10 degrees).

Also I found a vid of my car before I did all the computer swap stuff. Probably 2-3 months old...
