All the factory wiring that is no longer used. I plan to snip all the connectors off and save them in a jar just in case. I can always add wire. All the wiring will be scrapped.

2.75" pulley compared to the pulley that came with the blower for 10psi. This pulley should put the blower around 17,181 RPM at 7000 engine RPM. (6.75/ 2.75) x 7000 = 17,181. Crank diameter divided by pulley diameter, then multiply that number by engine RPM to determine blower RPM. KB states all their blowers should be kept below 18k RPM.
According to boost calculations, this should also put the boost at 18psi. But we will see, Im expecting to see 16psi or so with the longtubes and cams.

Also picked up a windows 10 tablet to keep in the car. Will be used for live datalogs and to view the holley gauges on screen when needed. I will do the bulk of the tuning on a laptop. But this should be nice to have for simple changes or seeing live datalogs while driving with it in a holder.

As soon as the correct harness is installed, I can tune the idle, ensure the car will hot start without any problems, and take it out for a drive. I have a pretty good base tune already just from me researching and asking other people that know what's what.

I will be shooting for 11.2 AFR and 18-19 degrees of timing at WOT. Idle and cruise AFR and tables will be whatever gets the best MPG, those will just require lots of drive time to dial in.

Holley EFI software is very intuitive to use, the GUI is very friendly, and there are forums and FB groups devoted to mod motor holley efi setup and tuning.

Figuring out how to run the factory cluster was a chore, most people i've seen don't bother figuring it out or wiring it up. But if you can read the schematics it's not too awfuly bad. The holley digital dash is very nice, alot of guys go with that. No wiring, plug and play with the ECU, and there are alot of places to find mounts.
I want the factory stuff to work, just because I want the car to look mostly stock. I want a car that I can toss the keys to anyone and they can get in and go drive. No switches, no start sequence, full interior, and full comforts.

More to come!

Nicely done. I am very much a Holley advocate and I’m glad to see another system installed on one of our cars.

Thanks! I like the system. Small hiccup with the harness, but overall it was an easy install and setup. I can’t wait to see what it can do to help me get the car dialed in.

Great project and thanks for the writeup!! What holder are you planning for the tablet? I am planning to laptop tube my project, but have not seen a holder I like at a reasonable price.

Honestly after riding around with it for a little bit now, I think im just going to have it chilling on the seat when datalogging. I thought I would want to look at it, but I got my factory cluster wired and working correctly with the Holley. So no need really. The little screen that comes with the Holley I put in a cell phone holder and it does everything I need. Usually when I am using the tablet, I am driving for 2-3 miles, pulling off, making a change, and repeating. No real need to look at it while driving.

I considered some kind of mount or tablet but after talking to my tuner he said that there really isn't a need. He said that you should not have a reason to data log for longer than 20-30 secs at the very most and you can set it up to data log with out the laptop on the holley. It might sound nice to have a BIG screen with all those gauges/data facing you live but with the ability to data log and go back over everything they are just not needed. You will enjoy watching and using it to get things going but after that I don't think your going to take extended road trips with it on the dash.

I was thinking about that also with a small tablet, but decided I'm just going to budget for the Holley screen in the dash and just have everything integrated into it (like white95 has) and keep it simple and uncluttered.

you can activate data logging through the digital dash but it takes a couple of presses or I also have it set up to go off of a switch I have easy access to. You can set it up to save it to the screen or to a usb stick

Very true. I log around town cruising to adjust the driveabilty as needed. But after its dialed in, even that wont be needed. The only time I will be logging now is down the 660' or 1320'.

I just put the 3.5 in a phone holder thing, and put it in the center of the dash. I don't have any plans for the Holley dash anytime soon. I prefer the look of the Mach dash. If I did put a 6.8" holley dash in it, it would likely go in the radio's spot. But I don't see me getting one unless I really need the I/O down the road.

Is your switch like a 2 position toggle? Position 1 no logging, position 2 logging? I would love to put it on my line lock switch like that. But I would need to trigger the input to start logging, and then don't stop until it's triggered again. So I would use the line lock, it would start logging, and then I hit the switch again after the car is stopped to stop the logging. Make sense?
