thanks stingracer yea this set up is nice i recommend it to anyone.

well 1997gt4.6 i was also concerned about the quality but with the set up i went wit i love it, it was bouncy the first couple of days but once they settled in they were smooooth no rubbing issues or scraping issues... well at least for me i don't drive my car like the dukes of hazard lol. but which ever route you go I'm sure it ll look good these cars look great with any type of lowering routes.

Glad to hear everything worked out for you. Do you have cats? I do and that's probably part of the reason I scrape I have no clearance over any speed bumps. So much as that I don't even drive the GT anymore that and well there's also a 305hp cobra in my garage lol. Yah I don't drive like the dukes of hazard either haha although if I have to do that to get jessica simpson than SIGN ME UP!!!!!!!! lol Yah these models are beautiful.

if your ride is bouncy it's not because of the H&R springs.

What might you contribute that bouncy feeling to than? I'm no expert lol. I'm guessing the stiffness overall. The tokicos aren't the best for comfortability.

well the struts and shocks control bounce so that's what I'd look at. I have Tokico Illuminas and the ride is solid.

Good point. I'm selling the GT anyways but I wanted to know so that I don't make the same mistake on the Cobra. Solid as in it's stiff or?

Well than you are right sir! Never doubted you just wanted to be informed myself ha. So that means way better shocks on the cobra none of those tokico blues lol. Yah considering how low yours is and you got a comfortable ride.

I haven't either but I've only been in a few lowered mustangs and to me, mine feels like crap. Every little crack is felt and or bounced. The ride just feels like crap, not as bad as some ricer with cut springs though lol.

You also need to take into account which wheel size you want to run, in the end. I'll be lowering my car more tan most people, because I still want the car to sit fairly low even with 18" wheels being 1" taller. I'm not willing to sacrifice any tire height so I'm going to gain the full 1" out of my 18" wheels. Therefore I'm going to lower the car 2.0 inches in the front, maybe 2.25 in the rear. That's more than you will usually see. But when it comes to how far the car is off the road in reality, it only makes it 1" lower instead of 2". Something to consider if you're wanting 18's.

Keeping the same tire profile going with a larger wheel isn't what most people do, so wheel size wont effect anything if you get the correct diameter tire.

I will have to invest in some good quality shocks and struts for the cobra than. And I love the low look but I'm not going that low on the Cobra (hopefully I won't regret it), just some ford C springs for a 1.25" drop. I hate having to go over speed bumps sidways, or going into apartment complexes. I had my gf and 2 friends and couldn't make it in so I had to have them ALL get out so I'd have minimal scraping.

and OnyxCobra is right usually with 17's people run 2xx/45 or 40's and when uprading to 18's it's usually 35's or 30's so it balances out, at least I think just in theory haha. And I already have the wheels and tires in my garage and they are 17 inch black bullitts deep dish in the back of course.
