sportlines will drop u about 2 inches and super sports will drop u about 1.5 in. it depends on how low u want to go. and for wheels i would say saleens

Re: Springs? Rims? Size? ... Help

I have H&R SuperSports and Saleen wheels on my car so those would be my recommendations. SuperSports drop the car about 1.75" in the front and 1.6" in the rear, imo they give the best stance out of all the popular springs.

I am sure some people will get tired of me saying this But H&R Race springs with Bilstein HD shocks and struts. Perfect in my opinion unless you go full coilover.

H&R SuperSports, poly isos, 18x9 Saleens on all 4 corners with 265/35 up front and 295/35 out back

The ride is surprisingly smooth. Not sure if it's the springs in general, or if the poly isos and Tokico HPs help.

Re: Springs? Rims? Size? ... Help

Yes c/c will be needed as very few have gotten away with not needed them, it would be wise to budget for them (tires cost more them c/c plates). Buy the best struts/shocks you can afford Tokico hp's a good low cost s/s and Bilsteins are good upper end s/s. My factory exhaust pipes do not hit and I doubt my magna flow will hit when I get around to installing it.

Yeah i remember the ultra lite springs but i thought they lowered the car the same amount, guess not.

I'd definitely suggest camber plates too, When I first installed my rear wheels i had to move one of my tailpipes cause the tire was hitting it but everything else fit well. I only bottomed out my exhaust once and it was a hell of an angle.

Re: Springs? Rims? Size? ... Help

I run poly isos, and i highly recommend them. without isos the car will sit a hair lower, but it won't ride as smooth, and it won't be nearly as quiet.

I also run poly iso's cause well the benefit for a hair more drop didn't appeal to me. It's my dd and I want it a smooth and as noise free as possible.

Re: Springs? Rims? Size? ... Help

poly isos vs no isos is a noticeable drop, I'd say go with isos at first and see how you like it and if you want it lower still then remove them, but H&R SS are already on the low side.

my Saleens are Hypercoated.

Re: Springs? Rims? Size? ... Help

ur wheels look awsome, im stuck between going with some chrome, or silver wheels? yea ill probably leave the isos in. i came across some springs at a fair price from summit racing for half the price, that drop the car 1 1/2 all around how do you think those will look and perform? thinks its a big differance from the h&r SS looks wise?

SWEEt!! post up some pics as soon as you do.

Re: Springs? Rims? Size? ... Help

Well, what springs ae they? i wouldn't skimp on springs man. They will affect the ride of your car greatly, so why go cheap and get a rough ride? Are they progressive rate?

Just go with some Eibach's or H&Rs. They're both about $200.

Or, you can go with a set of FRPP "B" or "C" springs. There's also more "letter" FRPP springs that actually drop the car a little more.
