Well I'm definitely starting to come to the end of the build...so far this is everything I have done:

Stock 97 GT block bored .20
Forged Manley 18cc pistons
Forged 8 bolt cobra crank/8 bolt flexplate
forged Manley rods
All ARP hardware (2000 bolts, headstuds, mainstuds, cam bolts, crank bolt)
MMR stage 3 PI heads
Crower high lift valve springs
CMS stage 3 blower cams
Complete Cloyes adjustable timing kit (gears, chains, guides, tensioners)
Edelbrock Victor Jr. EFI manifold (port matched to my heads)
4 " power pipe
Paxton Front Mount intercooler
Vortech mini race bypass valve
IW 10% od crank pulley
SLP longtbues,off road midpipe, catback
BR7EF plugs
new K&N filter
MSD coil packs/wires
one Walbro 255lph in tank pump
Siemen 60# injectors
Edelbrock high flow fuel rails
4.10 gears
Built AODE w/ BC auto 3500 stall
Huge tranny cooler
Complete built suspension
MT ET Street Radials 275/60/15 wrapped around Pro stars

Still has to get done:
End of this week sending out my SQ S trim to be upgraded to the SI trim, having a 2.95 8 rib blower pulley put on
6061 plenum
Accufab 75mm throttle body
Rest of 8 rib pulley setup
SCT BA3000 MAF
Motor Mounts
Finish up the fuel setup

That about wraps up the build, I'm thinking come November/December the motor should be in the car and I can start putting some miles on her over the winter so that come spring she can see the dyno

well, went to degree the cams tonight, and of course ptv clearence, even after i asked Jim over at CMS if his cams would need fly cut pistons and he told me no twice....with the adjustable lifter everything is fine, when i put the solid one in to correctly check for ptv i have my valve hit the piston

made a huge jump, just purchased all of the following:
sent sq s trim out for the si upgrade, having 8 rib 2.95 blower pulley put on as well
bought tensioner, idler, machined 8 rib alt pulley, belt and all hardward/spacers/etc from gi joe
bought 8 rib p/s,w/p, and ac pulleys from rockautoparts.com
bought 75mm throttle body
bought urethane motor mounts
bought 6061 plenum

all that will be left to do is fuel/maf setup

accufab 75mm throttle body
poly motor mounts
8 rib ac pulley
8 rib p/s pulley

ordered, but still waiting on 6061 plenum, rest of 8 rib kit from gi joe, and upgraded SI trim w/ 2.95 blower pulley 8 rib

This monday I'll find out if I can get away with not ripping the motor back apart to flycut the pistons, here she sits:

Got everything I ordered except the blower back from Vortech

complete 8 rib kit ( I already have IW 10% OD crank pulley and vortech is putting on the 2.95 8 rib blower pulley while doing the SI upgrade), Accufab 75mm throttle body, 6061 plenum, poly motor mounts

well, tried to degree cams again last night...still getting contact. When I use the solid lifter is when I get contact, I am having the solid lifter machined to the proper size though because when I use the solid lifter I am getting a reading of 568 lift, which the cam is only supposed to be 547...hopefully this is what is throwing everything off, but if after i get this solid lifter correctly machined to the proper spec I still have contact, I'm thinking about taking it to a mustang shop around here and having them look at it....I just done think I should have PTV Contact with these cams....CMS stage 3 blower cams w/ stock valves and 18cc pistons.

I'm pretty sure that if modifyinig this solid lifter to the correct size doesnt allow me to turn the motor over, and if I take it to a mustang specialty shop and they say I have PTV contact, I'm just going to sell these CMS stage 3 blower cams and go with the CMS stage 2.5 blower cams, all of my internals are balanced to the gram and I really dont want to have to balance internals again if I have to get pistons flycut...

Very nice!

I just have a question about the SCT 3000 MAF. Is it a streetable thing? Someone told me one time that it was either all out or none, basically making it a race only application and that the 2600 or 2800 (If you can find one) is the better choice.

the only reason I'm going with the 3000 is because I plan on pushing some pretty decent hp and i dont want to buy a maf, peg it, than have to buy another one in the future... I have never once read a problem with the 3000 being unstreetable????

It's something I just heard when I had my 03 Cobra, I was just curious cause I'm looking for a 96-98 to do a 5.4 swap with and I want to go all out with it. If the 3000 can be tuned for whatever then I see no reason to get the 2600. The 3000 basically lets you go all out without limits (within reason)

yeah I hear what your saying, and like i said i have never heard a problem with people not being able to run the 3000 for streetable manners. there a multiple guys i know that are in the 400rwhp range that use it with no problems, and the 3000 is the same price as the 2800 so might as well go with something that will never peg for ya

Well, thanks for the advice :) Looking at a GT tomorrow for $2000, it runs but it blows black smoke. Perfect for a 5.4 Swap

did everything possible, I'm getting major PTV contact, i need to decide whether I want to rip apart the whole motor and get the pistons flycut...or sell these cams and go smaller....the question would be how small would i need to go?
