whats next? :)
Got the clutch in last week. I need to track down the source of the oil leak, fix the tube from the air pump to take care of my exhaust leak. I have some Autometers I need to put in and then who knows? I'll be a lot busier this year with my new assignment but I'd really like to do a vortech over the winter.

Thanks man! Come say hi next time. I'm there every week I can be.

I doubt I'll make it to another this year since I work every Friday night. I was on shutdown last week. If you go out to any shows or cruise ins on a Saturday or Sunday, let me know and I'll ride out there with you.

Did a little cleaning under the hood. Doesn't look great by any means. But I think it looks a little better.

New mods installed today: H&R SS springs with no isos and a Steeda Tri-Ax.

The Tri-Ax is great! I know most everyone here has a short shifter, but if someone is reading this that doesn't, do it now! Major difference. The springs are much stiffer that the cut stockers I had before. I'll reserve judgment on ride quality until I can get some good shocks.

I'll get pics once the springs settle. But I already think it looks better.

Nice man!! It was a toss up for me between the Tri-Ax and the MGW. I went with the MGW personally. And the springs don't settle, once ya pop em in that's pretty much where they sit. The only settling they do is that big ol pop you hear when you first lower the car to the ground. Either way, you've brought this car a long way man :)

Some quick and dirty pics. It's not as low as I thought it would be. But I was running 2 coils cut in the front and 1.5 in the back. So it's not a huge jump. It leveled out well though.

Not sure on where to go next with this. I thought about selling, but if I could get some decent power and reliability then I'd be happy.

What I have: Bone stock approximately 117k mile motor.

Option 1: Rebuild everything, go 306 with budget top end. No idea on the cost. Would have someone assemble everything

Option 2: TFS top end. $2700 and looks like it includes everything. No worries about everything working together. No worries about getting screwed on used parts. No worries about nickel and diming myself to death piecing something together. Seems like a good idea if my bottom end checks out?

I've never gone to the track and don't really plan on it. I like to use the car to run around town, cruise with my club and show it. Don't need huge power, I'd like reliability with a little kick.

I would probably pay someone local to install. Too many small tolerances and too many places to jack it up to attempt myself. Suggestions?

Get the TFS top end kit and be done with it. It'll give you enough power to keep you heppy and like you said, you won't have to worry about every penny spent. Everything matches and you just need to buy lifters.

Option 3: Supercharger

You already have a bone stock engine which is reliable. Higher chances of problems when u start opening up ur motor.
Also you can easily return it back to stock if u ever wanted to easily
It will probably be cheaper than other 2 options and make just as much as power.
