I bought a new set of B8 Bilstein struts and a new MM solid steering shaft for $400 locally. Also got a good deal on a lightly used fuel system and a new pump (Aeromotive Stealth 340 with heavy duty wiring, 98 hat and basket, stainless steel feed and return lines, Holley FPR, and BBK guage) for $200/shipped.

I got it out and met a friend for lunch. He just picked up a 2020 grabber green ecoboost premium convertible. Think his 2020 is nice but it doesn't have any of the v8 roar with my borla exhaust.

Changed the plugs... seems 90% of my hesitation problems were plug issues... mostly bc they previous owner didnt even tighten the plugs in the heads.

Then ordered new cobra style headlights, Bronze shifter bushing and a 250amp circuit breaker for the battery relocation positive wire. I still need to get a 130amp CB, cutoff switch and some 4awg wire for the remote shutoff.

Hello Thomas,
I need to replace my shifter bushing and I noticed you had bought a bronze bushing for your car. I'm debating getting a bronze bushing for my car but would like to hear from someone who has experience using this. Do you like it? Would you recommend using one?
Thanks, CobraRGuy

Took the cover off, installed battery, fired it up. Pulled it out of the garage and blew it off with the air compressor. Let it idle 10 mins. Can't wait to get my gears in.

I will post a pic as soon as it stops raining, but I got my SVE wheels from LMR 1 day earlier than expected! Got them installed and as I was putting up my last tool, it started to rain.

The final 4 voting for Cj's starts tomorrow morning. I was LUCKY to win last time by one vote and this time I am going up against an instagirl with a nice classic mustang and a MUCH bigger following. I will need all the help I can get to vote.

started a project i'm not going to finish. I thought i could save some dough by stripping these myself but i got impatient and the stripper started removing the original finish. Just thought i'd try. So off to the powder coater they will go. I bought them on the cheap because they look this way and even paying for powder coating i'll still be into them for less than new $350/wheel. But i don't know what some people are thinking. IMG_2077.jpg img2071.jpg.jpg

Scheduled my gear install for tomorrow. Came home and polished the fenders and threw on some fresh spray wax.

Picked it up from 4.10 gear install. Not really happy. Speedo is way off and the SCT X4 won't correct it on a 98. Also my ABS sensors were rusted in place and they had to break them out. Cost me $150 @ O'Reilly to get two new ones for em. And the Richmond gears are straight cut (which NO ONE TOLD ME) opposed to the Ford Racing that have a radius to them so they whine. Should've probably skipped this mod. I'm in for about $1k now for parts/labor/tuner and I'm really not pleased. Is there a reliable speedo gear that will get me close? I hear mixed results. Going with a GPS speedo for the time being. God Dammit...

I believe you need a Speed Cal to adjust the speedometer in your car.
