Where is the best spot in the powerband to launch

i would like everyones opinion on where to launch in the powerband, my torque converter company told me 500 rpms below peak torque. what do you guys think?

Lafenatu how can you say that when you dont even know his converter specs. could be WAY too much converter.

there is no correct answer really, depends on track prep, tire specs, power level, gear, etc.

if your peak power is at 4000rpm and you launch at 3500rpm and bog then thats not the "optimal" launch RPM.

same situation if you launch at 4000rpm and you spin, its not optimal.

start at 500rpm under and if it hooks without bogging you should be perfect, if it bogs move the launch RPM up until you get tire spin then back down 100rpm...
