2 quick VIN coding questions (GT or GTS and which motor?)

so, i googled all over the place and found nothing. from what i gather, the GTS is a GT with a stripped down shell for weight reduction? does that only come wiht the 215hp motor? and how can i tell which model/motor i have? i checked the vin and it doesnt seem to tell me. am i missing something? is it stamped on the block somewhere?

well if thats your car in your avatar you have a spoiler which gts's didnt have and do you have power windows and door locks
and which seats do you have gt or v6?

the previous owner put that spoiler and diff seats in it. its a GT, not a V6 manual door locks/windows. i'm guessing GTS but it sure as hell feels like its putting out more then 215hp?? headers and 2.5" flange back and 3 baffle flowmasters cant add that much can they? lol

so the websites i was looking at are retarded then eh? shocker! LOL they were saying there were 2 5.0s. one at 215hp and one at 240. also, i cant seem to find a solid number on curb weight. anyone have a ball park figure?

also, whats a rough figure on HP increase with the small amount of mods thte car already has (IE Exhaust)?

i believe A/C was optional too, but not sure.

there was, the 5.0 in the Cobra made 240hp

The two 5.0s are the Cobra model 5.0s and the GT models. 200hp sounds about right. Our cars are slow.

gotcha. so, whats the curb weight on the GTS? i cant seem to find a straigh answer anywhere i look.

and whats the approx hp increase on ford racing headers, 2.5" collector back exhaust and 3 baffle flow masters? i'm just curious as he had already done this prior to purchase so i have no real idea of what the difference is. :-\

ahhh, ok...so the 351 was only in the R then, right? and yea, the AC is an option because mine has it...not that i ever use it in SD though

going off this i'm convinced its a GTS. but i have no idea on ABS. also looks like they only made 344 on my colour. shocker. i wouldnt buy this thing brand new in that colour either! haha

tha abs pump should be on the bottom left corner in front of your radiator and smog pump.

big ol negative on the ABS then! i didnt see the proportioning valve deal by the master either. i had a 95 GT convertible parts car ages ago i used the motor set for (shoehorned it into a datsun 200sx lol) and i remember seeing that there..
