I have a 70 as well, its a bitch to get to run right, but works decent after its done. and dont drill a hole in the throttle blade, I made that mistake, it just runs worse.

I never had a problem with the idle with my 70mm...

it's supposed to fix the whistling, not the idling problems.

It whistles some, and drilling a hole in the throttle blade only throws the computer off. my car idled like absolute crap with one on it, but i was fighting the built motor too, not just a stock engine.

I just bolted on a BBK/Edlebrock 75mm this weekend. Bolted up extremely easy. Cleaned the IAC when I did the swap. I did however run into a high idle issue. After adjusting the idle screw I noticed the linkage wasn't backing all the way down like it should to settle the idle down to where it needs to be. Moved it by hand to full lock and idle was perfect. The culprit was the throttle return spring. With the stiffer blade spring on the BBK, it's overkill on the stock return spring. Goto autozone and look in the help section. I put a new double wound return spring on it and the pedal is nice and stiff and it comes down to idle perfectly. After tweaking worn stock items, it's a great TB. BBK should start including a new return spring with their TB's.

Bummer on the backorder. a new throttle return spring should be included, for sure. I ended up losing my stocker, so I bought a new one anyways. there is a procedure to set the idle correctly, but I dont remember how to do it. I will look into my notes and see if I can find it. I know it had to do with a feeler gage.

Turn idle screw counter clockwise until you can see between the screw and the throttle linkage (if using feeler
gauge .010") then turn clockwise exactly one full turn.

Be sure the idle valve adjustment screw (gold colored slot head) is turned clock wise until it bottoms in its bore.
(Do not use too much force when bottoming screw.)

Start engine, if no idle can be achieved, turn gold idle valve screw counter clockwise in small increments,
restarting engine until desired idle rpm is achieved.

Thanks, man, I found it about the same time you did!!!! Dont forget to "blank" your computer when your done, so it will "learn" the small differences again.

Disconnect the battery cable and step on the brakes a few times, wait a few min, and re connect. this will clear the computer's stored memory, and it will "re-learn" the changes on your engine much faster, without too much surging and such.

Hey, was wondering if you could post some pics of the back of the car with the wheel spacers on the back. i HATE how wheels always seem to be sunk into the rear wheel-wells of sn95's. im getting wheels and tires soon so i was looking to see what spacers could do for me. Thank you!!
