looks good and I was curious if your doing your own body work this time myself but it sounds like you are. What are your plans for the fuel lines coming into the bay?

No I'm not doing everything alone. Just me and a buddy. Neither of which have any real experience lol. But as far as the majority of body work it was done by me. We're using my buddies welder and engine stand. He did a lot of the larger welding I did the little holes and the frame rails. 2 man team tho no doubt!

oh no by doing it yourself I just meant at a shop. I can't say I have done everything myself as there are ALWAYS times where you will need another hand or set of eyes or someone that just knows more then you to say yes/no/your nuts.

Lol right. Only thing I'm paying for is material. I could never afford shop rates for anything like this. I have hungry ass kids

What I started with just over 3 months ago....

First time ever holding a paint gun. Pulling motor/trans, welding in large panels...etc. And I think I nailed it :D

Still needs wet sanded, buffed and polished but it's nearly good enough as is lol. I went with silver YN paint code.

but isn't it a PAIN in the ars to get in all the corners of that itty bitty spot? You are probably tall enough you just reached over huh? I could not get them with out laying on top of the other side for the most part so I ended up climbing in/out to get the back corners and firewall.

looks good mang

Yea those wren tricky, I did stand outside the bay and reach over. Was worried about the air line hitting the aprons and rad support with all the regulator, fittings and filter hanging from the line lol. Kind of a pita no doubt

Lol, I know you're struggling for some reason to believe I'm not paying a shop or anyone else so I'll humor you here big guy.

Here's a quick video of me just doing a "control coat". With silver, in order to avoid mottling and zebra stripes I shot a quick coat from a little distance to even out the metallics. And here's a selfie for ya playa

Got a pretty good deal from Tom Clark (sinisbuilt) on what used to be my old upper/lower, msd distributor and coil blaster. He even media blasted the old wrinkle finish off everything. Stoked to get this all painted and installed

I didn’t want to see your ugly mug!!!! Lmao

I asked because I hate when people try to build an album of build pics and there’s no action shots. That’s the best part.

Do I question your ability?!? Well duh!!! I wouldn’t be me if i didn’t try and make your blood boil at least once daily!!!!

But in all honesty, I’m glad to see you trying to learn new skills. At least now we have something to talk about other than your caliper and wheel painting!!!!! :)

Since that intake is clean and you already have the silver, you might as well tape it up and spray it the same color as the engine bay.

as much as I love painting my own stuff I will only powder coat under the hood myself. Its just too easy for the finish to get cracked or chipped just on the install.

So... this is what the fox world has achieved now! When a smoothed and detailed engine bay is considered basic!;)

Looks like I have to step up a bit more with my fox.
