My '94 GT

Hi,

I know I don't post a whole lot but I thought I'd show everyone some pictures of my Gt that I've owned for almost 5 years, bought it just before I was 19 back in '05 and it's been my on-going project and daily driver up until last year when I rear-ended a honda civic and then hit a deer a month or 2 after that... Since then it has sat in my driveway collecting snow, leaves, and MANY pine needles!!

Now it's finally fixed. It took a looongg time, but it is now back to the same exact look before I wrecked it... So I thought I'd share with you my car of almost 5 years. Hard to believe when I bought it, it was a BONE STOCK UNTOUCHED virgin GT with 129K on it... Now it's had a few things done to it, and it just hit 227,000 miles today.

This is the day I brought it home.

After lowering it with Bullitts..

Had a spray painted '98 Cobra hood on it for a little while until I got tired of looking at it (Hood is for sale by the way)

Pictures the day I wrecked it last year...

Started tearing it apart, had the new header panel and headlights on it, then I Hit a freakin deer...

Started the deconstruction of it (before I hit the deer)

Those last two pictures of the car remind me of the Interceptor from Mad Max Road Warrior for some reason...

Here are the pics of it as I started putting it back together. I did all the paint and bodywork myself on it. I am very happy with how it turned out. Could have been better, but not bad for a first timer!

I won't bore you with the primer and paint pics, here is the reassembly...

It's first trip in almost a year... To get gas!!! LOL

I also added these Steamrollers for it... The best freakin wheels ever!!

I don't have any current pics of the car in its offical "completed" stage, but when it warms up around here in the spring I'm going to clean it up real good and get all the over spray from when I was painting my parts off the car and buff it out and post up some pics of it. Hope you like it. One day I'd like to get in the calander you all have...

By the way, the fender that I hit the deer with is the same one that is still on the car!

Great work!!!! The header panel made a huge difference right? Your thread shows how with that piece the bumper is nice and tight from the factory. I hope I'm right. Was it hard to disassemble the front bumper and header panel?

how much for the hood?

I used all ford parts to reassemble the car AFTER I hit the deer. I acually bought aftermarket stuff the first time after I rearended the civic and was never satisfied with the way the headlights and header panel fit. So once I hit the deer I called it quits and bought FORD parts and couldnt be happier.

As far as disassembling the bumper from the header, You drill out the 2 pop rivits on top (You see them as you have the hood up, and then you have to kinda pry on the header panel a tiny bit with a flat head screwdriver because the bumper clips into the header panel underneath the headlights... Kina a pain but once you realize what is holding it in, it's a sinch

I made sure to buy the new header panel brackets that bolt to the core support, and the small inserts that keep the marker lights in too... made a big difference in the fit and finish over all. Most people cannot even tell it was ever wrecked.

you got all the hardware from Ford? If so nice...The reason why I am asking because like 4 years ago, I cracked the top part of my header panel where the bumper connects on the top, and was thinking about replacing it with new hardware. What you recommend?

Ford all the way... All the parts are still available. I bought headlights, header panel, the inserts to keep the corner lights mounted steady, the brackets that hold the headerpanel to the core support... everything. Pricey... but as you can see, the end results are WELL worth it. I'm satisfied, you will be too
