My car is coming out of paint today! UPDATED WITH PICS

They're putting everything back together as we speak and should have it ready to go this afternoon (fingers crossed). Its been in nearly 5 weeks, so I'm really really excited to get it. I went and looked at it and dear lord it looks nice, even with missing bumpers. haha White with a silver pearl and metalflakes, mmmmmmmmm :headbang:

Pics have arrriiivvveeeddddd. They're not the best, but I'm at work and just ahd to take a couple quick ones. I'm gonna get some wax and stuff as bugs are coovvveerrriinnnggg it and they are much much much more noticeable on a white bumper.

Anyways, enjoy. I can't tell how good the metalflake looks in the pics, I'm on my mom's schiddy 10" craptastic laptop, but trust me, it looks awesome in person. In the shade it looks like a nice pearly white, but in the sunlight, it explodes with awesome.

I know. I'm so used to the bumper being grey. I went last week when he was testing the paint out on the bumpers and it was so odd seeing it white. People are going to forget who I am without it

Agreed... now Ill have to actually look at the name of whos postin instead of just seein the sig to tell... makin more work for me. And I agree, no thread starting when you dont hav epics.

Congrats on the paint.. Is your car "stock GT" exterior wise (except a cobra front) or were you adding a different hood
to it too?

Yup, the exterior was stock minus the Cobra bumper. I'm a fan of the stock hood so it doesn't bother me.

And yes, 5 weeks is nothing compared to yours, 1STOF3, but I need some time to get it running good before I run off to college in a month.


So it is gorgeous. The metalflake and pearl turned out great. In the shade and from 20ft, it just looks like some really slick white, but when the sun hits it, holy cow it pops. GT emblems were shaved and the mirrors were painted too. To finish off the exterior I'm going to tint my lights, get new front lights, get a silver ford Emblem, and possibly repaint the lower trim, not sure yet. I'm about to get teh dust off of it from my driveway and head into town for some nice pics. They're on there way!

I dont like it, Now your car doesnt have the primer grey bumper we all know it by . Nice paint, looks clean, just wondering though, are your headlight corners the same as your actual headlight part? They look alot darker. Looks nice, good to see it looking good for once lol.
