Thats a good question... The main reason I chose the turbo over the supercharger is because I have never delt with a turbo car before and really wanted to learn. Another reason is that the turbo has the capability to make a lot of power more easily, (just cranking up the boost with the simple turn of the boost controller). The assembly will vary with what turbo kit you purchase, and even that can differ in some cases. From a rating of 0-10, 0 being easy and 10 being hard, I would give this kit a 6. My ac was already gone so I didnt have to deal with that, I had to delete my abs system, cut my brake lines and tie them back together. I had to space my motor up on the driver side about a 3/4 of an inch to clear room for the header. Move around my blaster coil and wiring on the passenger side to prevent cooking them to death. Those were the major hurtles. Would I say it was worth it? Ofcourse, I enjoy doing this stuff and I have learned alot on the way. Cost wise if your going to spend big bucks on a turbo kit I'm thinking it will end up costing you more in the long run, I chose to buy a cheaper model of turbo kit, and after buying all of the accessories..... pump, injectors, heat wrap, and my megasquirt ecu, I could have had a pretty nice supercharger sitting in there. Not to mention when people ask to see my engine, and once I pop the hood they see a fat turbo staring them in the face.......its priceless. :)

This exactly!! Lol

got it for 100 bucks out of my buddies 04 mach1 and it was lime green lol...... I thought dark ford blue would look good no? haha. Downfall is it doesnt have the swing out bar that it should. does anyone know where I can pick a set up?

hmm i'll have to look into that. Yeah I have quite a lot of black padding that will be going over the cage, So im not so sure the blue will be seen much anyways. I have a lot of blue under the hood and was gonna try to match it with that.

Wow. $100 is a steal! They go for like $320-500...
Blue will definitely look good against yellow. Especially if you have small details in your engine bay that are blue. I was just curious.

I'm gonna attempt to install my bumpsteer kit tonight. Please fill me in on anything important I should know. It doent look to be that hard of an ordeal. I know that I want to measure the length of the tie rod end before I install the new one. Also I was just planning on putting the car on jackstand then useing a jack to put load on the front suspension to make sure the tie rod is level with the a-arm. Is this correct?? Wish me luck

Not sure how I missed this thread for so long.... This is a great build, and even though white is the color I wanted for a long time that yellow is dang sexy. Keep up the good work. And yes, I think the FR500's in anthracite will look very clean. I love black wheels, but silver on yellow is hard to beat.
