To keep track of my shenanigans I have decided to make a build page. As of the moment this thread is started, Red Car(aka 1996 Red Cobra/Pat Benatar/Bertha) is in race trim and racing in door to door racing with Pro Autosports in PS2 and TTB/TAB with NASA AZ. I bought it from a guy who was truing it into a drag car that had a 10 point cage, through the floor subframe connectors, aluminum shift quadrant, Eibach Pro Kit, broken stock rear sway bar, stock motor, near full interior, stock rims, 3.55 rear gears, T/A diff cover, Strange 31 spline axles and blown shocks and struts. I had been searching for 3 months and sold my 2007 Triumph Daytona 675 to buy it. At first it was my daily, then I bought a 1996 GT 248A to take over those duties.
I have since added:
Suspension:
Tokico Illumina front struts that blew out and have since been replaceed with Koni SA
Steeda Full Comp front springs
Bilstein HD rear shocks with the coil over groove that have been re-valved by my boss running 225lbs hypercoil springs
Prothane front control arm bushings
Steeda X2 balljoints
Steeda Bumpsteer Kit
Steeda front sway bar
Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber Plates
UPR double adjustable upper control arms with spherical on both sides
Maximum Motorsports Road Race lower control arms
Steeda adjustable rear sway bar

Brakes:
Bosch Quite Cast Front Rotors
Raybestos ST43 Front Pads
Centric Blank Rear Rotors
PFC 97 Rear Pads
J&M Front and Rear SS Lines
Speed Bleeders
StopTech 600 Fluid
Kenny Brown front brake ducting

Engine:
Steeda Under Drive Pulleys
JLT Next Gen True Cold Intake
UPR X Off Road X pipe
SMog pump delete
AC delete
FRPP 9mm Wires
Mishimoto Second Gen Radiator

Body/Aero:
Steeda Race Wing
Fog Lights removed for brake ducts
Custom(lol) Radiator ducting with Scoop

Wheels/Tires:
FR500/SVT 2003 Cobra/1998 Cobra 17/9
Maxxis RC1/Nitto NT01 255/40
3 Inch extended Studs
Vintage Venom 1 Inch Wheel Spacers

Interior:
G-Force 6 Point Harness
Recaro Halo Seat
Mesh Window Net
Everthing but the dash is gone

Transmission/Driveline:
Trans Fluid
Diff Fluid
Steeda Tri Axle Short Throw shifter
Custom Shift lever extender

I have also purchased a roller to be race car version 2.0. It is 1998 Auto GT in white. It will get the rear suspension off the red car, the block and transmission from the red car, then a full cage and other goodies.

I learned it from Initial D. The corners are tricky, but I don't even notice it anymore.

Yeah, I've been so lazy gutting the car because I am right at class weight. I will be selling the car in January to fund race car version 2.0, so I may separate everything then.

I don't plan on it at the moment. The class my car is being built for has a 9:1 hp/weight ratio. So i will most likely have to detune as it is.

Getting a little bit closer.

Looking good man! As a track car I'm assuming you are going to run a front sway bar. The f150 oil cooler occupies the same space and on my car...well oil wins! I've searched high and low for a solution besides an external oil cooler, even bought a Mustang oil filter housing- didn't fit. Thinking I might be able to use the threaded end and take off the cooler block. Let me know of your solution if you don't mind.

I plan on running an external oil cooler, setrab or or just make my own set up. Things are going to get very custom/fabbed pretty soon. Possible SLA if I get some extra overtime and also hopefully a straight shot intake, kinda like a corvette, and leaning the radiator down and venting it out the hood with chimney still routing. We don't have many high speed tracks in AZ, but we have some heat to deal with. I have a Tiger Racing hood, but may get a stock hood and vent the crap out of it. NASA nationals is the end goal.

It is sitting in storage with the rest of the wide body : ( I still have to cut out the vents and get everything wrapped.
