Re: Springs? Rims? Size? ... Help

1.5" drop all around is I think what the Eibach Pro Kit lowers our cars, i know a ton of members have those springs so I'm sure you could find a fair amount in the lowering spring database. It's not a huge difference between those and the H&R SS but I'd say it's noticeable. I made the mistake of not going low enough the first time so it's good to know what you want before you start buying parts.

the springs are the (summit racing brand) there silver, in the mustang section in there catalog, not exactly sure who the original manufacter is.. but yea ive seen the eibach 1 1/2 drop and im more attracted to the h&r ss. were can i find the cheapest pair of h&r ss, cause AM has them but there a lil pricey there.

I paid about $180/shipped for my H&R SS springs. i got mine from Arts Performance Parts.
He's actually a sponsor here on the forums, though i'm not sure he still goes by the same name.

sportlines with all poly iso's and m/m plates KYB shocks and struts. rims are 17x9 with a 255 tire in front and 275 out back. i like the look but would not recommend the KYBs

I am sure some people will get tired of me saying this But H&R Race springs with Bilstein HD shocks and struts. Perfect in my opinion unless you go full coilover.

imo the quality of H&R is superior to Eibach. the sportlines lower the car 2" but keep the stock spring rates, not ideal.

You are gonna need more than a set of "Good shocks"
I have bilsteins struts - koni shocks I used to have sportlines with NO isos and the ride was ridiculously bad, I felt every bump on the road, the mid pipe scraped on everything it also picked up bags and clothes on the road and the car isn't my DD. The car looked great thoug lol
To tell you truth I've never used springs again, I'm going to run coilovers all around I want my car to be L O W without sacrifing the quality ride..

Been there done that, never again!

To tell you the truth I've never used. H&R, but I've talked to jason and chuck from MM, and they highly recommend them over Eibach.well atleast to go with their coilovers..

If you want to get rid of the 4x4 look and you aren't going lower than 1.5" then get some tokico struts and camber bolts to get the car aligned. And call it a day. That's my advice.
