Pulled the seats out to remove and pressure wash the carpet. Good ol @ElrodKTPQ_89 inspired me.

Probably take a few days for it to drip dry. While that’s happening, I’m going to clean out as much of the residual dirt and grime as possible.

Just waiting for brake parts to deliver so I can take the next steps on my to-do list. First up will be refreshing the rear brakes.

While working on my S197, I ran part errands in the SN95. Cool right? No. The lingering issue with the Holley kept occurring randomly, car ran like hammered dog shit and I may have overreacted a bit. I've ordered a Ford control pack, new engine harness from Ford, a MAF flange, pedal bracket...

LMFAO

bitch gonna learn now..

what lingering issue?

Randomly runs rich. Lean. Rich. Lean. Tried several new o2s, found/fixed bad spots in wiring.. Holley blames the age of the ecu and it seems, to the electrician in me, that a soldered point on the motherboard is failing and making intermittent contact.

So. Time for a change.

well shit that sucks. Any chance there is an air leak in the exhaust that is letting air in when it gets hot?

I can’t accurately answer this because I don’t know. Never had issue with exhaust leaks and no visual evidence of it blowing out randomly.

Wow, outside of my issues with the POS distributor of theirs, my HP has been strong for over 12yrs. I think I've replaced my O2 twice during that time, one TPS (just because) and that's about it.

My Coyote on the other hand is giving me a "chase down" issue. Seems when cornering hard and letting the car slide, it decides to go into a "limp mode" where it feels like half power until it clears up. Not sure if it's the ECU or just being tied into the SN95 ECU speed sensor. I'll be looking into that along with getting more HP from it this winter.

That is an interesting dilemma and I am curious to see what you discover.

Round 1:

Swapping connector of crank sensor extension harness. This was a pain in the ass but task completed.

Round 2:

Fuse box, ecu harness and pedal

IMG_8631.jpeg

After a few rounds of trial and error, I settled on this location for the fuse box.

Found this pic in a video and it was my inspiration.

This worked out because the harness naturally fell into place and appears it will work well.
