Where did you get the posts for the baby battery? I have a dyno batt but don't have posts. I had a question on motor install too.

Got the motor mounts
inline pump to go with the shot of smile juice,
the battery and the arming switch for the NOS.

I like how the switch looks in place!
I'm gonna try to mount the other switches and a digital pressure gauge in the ashtray - stealth mode.

So is that implying that 97's have bigger radiators?

no, the mounts are just spaced differently.

Thanks MeanGrn, ya - I am anxious to get it done.
Always so much going on with work and family, I haven't put much time into it.

Here it is saturday morning, and I'm headed to work. Gotta cover for someone's screw up...
Just life I guess.

What do you have planned for your winter mods so far??

Re: STROKER ENGINE BUILD --update-- Longblock is Assembled

Well the t5 grinds 2nd already so i am planning on putting in a new gforce t5, then i am going to get an afm pms to tune w/e i decide to do. Those i know for sure and will have the $$ to do. Then i dont know if i am going to put in a 347, 351w, turbo, or supercharger. It depends a lot on the condition of the motor. It has 93k on it but i was told that there was 5k put in it (unsure of what was done so i am a little leery of it). I might do a compression/leakdown test on the motor and take off the heads etc. to get a look @ the motor to see what is in it and the condition of it. I have done a lot of thinking and debating of the pros/cons of each one but i am going to have to see what the motor is like and go from there. Actually i just need to win the lottery it would make it much easier.

That's a bummer on your tranny!
Sounds like you've got alot to do. Is it hard to switch to a 351? that would be sweet.

Money, it's always a factor, usually the deciding factor.
At least you don't have a modular, parts for that are at least 50% more!
Keep us up on what you decide. :)

Re: STROKER ENGINE BUILD --update-- Longblock is Assembled

ya thats y i stayed away from the mod motor was $$. the 351w swap isnt too complicated. Oil pan, hood (or drop motor mounts and short intake to clear stock hood which is what i am going to try most likely), 351w lower intake (302 upper will bolt to it),swap headers and distributor. Those are the main things there are a few minor things but the few parts add up quickly. I would have to fit it under the stock hood. Really the project comes down to money and if i find any good deals on a 347 or a 351w, and if the leakdown and compression tests come back good then i may just go sc or turbo route on the motor i have and maybe some heads and then call it good so i dont spilt the block lol. I have talked with rick @rnh about building me a 347 and the shortblock would be about $1950 (forged pistons etc) for a good quality shortblock (weakest link being the stock block). Then put a custom cam from ed @ fti and possibly tfs heads & intake (or something similar) I need to start buying lotto tickets :-\ I search ebay and the classifieds daily

Didn't Ford issue a recall on the 96 and update the cooling system to the 97 style? Or was that just on the Cobras?
