So Friday I went out and picked up the following from a 30k mile lazer vert.
Quarter windows, tracks/regulators
Side skirts with semi respectable paint
Rear bumper thats not pealing
Non faded trim pieces that go on the sides of the windshield.
Laser red 94/95 horizontal
And a cup of miscellaneous interior bolts
for $300 I think I did alright
So I moved green car outside and pulled red car in the garage. I dove right in with the limited mobility and strength of my shoulder. Not going to lie.. green car shouldnt be out there. But the new Cali cover for red car fits greencar like a goddamn glove. I had them make it for an s281 wing. Cobra bumper and a cobra R hood so it magically fits perfectly.
-Tightened up the loose short throw handle to the base.
- replaced the missing bolt for the center console to dash. No longer loose. Yay
-pulled the lower back seat. Pulled both door cards.. the savage that owned ot before me snapped half of the mounting hooks off the door card.. they were all laying in the bottom of the door as well as the drivers front window stop.
-pulled the passenger rear interior panel and dug into the quarter window. Removed the window and low and behold.. the bracket is completely off of the window. So no wonder it was loose.
Replaced it with a new one a bought.. good as new
Next I removed the mirror adjustment switch from the door cup and popped it in the new cheap daniel carpenter door cups from LMR. Ftw!
Then I pulled the window out of the drivers door. Someone had screwed with it before so it wasn't riveted to the tracks. Just nuts and bolts. Do off came the seals wipers from the door and out came the glass. As you can see the drivers seat was replaced at some point.. has a hole in it.. and doesn't quite match. Bummer!
Here is the glass and stop. So the plan is to sand blast the stop bracket where it attaches.. probably dip it in alcohol and then use some sort of 3m glass adhesive(the type will be determined) thr glass I will mark, clean, scuff it with scotch bright alcohol/acetone for cleaning. Then reglue it.
Here are the trim pieces I will probably install on the next go at it.
Then I removed the CJponyparts banner and cleaned the outside of the windshield.
Then thr last activity for today was assembling my mod motor engine priming device. Which is nothing more than a garden sprayer with AN fittings plumbed into it and a 6an hose. Some extra adapters for the oil filter housing or for the mmr adapter I have with AN fittings.
After I put my daughter to bed I will give it a go at jb plastic welding the hooks back onto the door panel. As well as the black part to the white part where the savage broke those too!
